Jesse moved over to Gabe. He stopped in front of him. Jesse stayed silent as Gabe spoke. He blinked. “Of course I’m okay dad.” He murmured. He looked him over. “I mean...I...I guess I’m okay.” He whispered

he frowned softly. “well.. talk to me. tell me what’s up, what’s going on? is it the thing with the cat?”

He glanced down. “...Jack got hurt because of me. I-I don’t want to end up getting you hurt too dad.” He whispered. “I’m just...I’m scared of losing you guys. Especially if it’s because of me. You guys are my family and...I don’t know what I would do if I lost my family a second time.” He murmured.

After a while, GB and Connor arrived back at the base. GB had entered before looking around. She had caught Jesse’s and Gabe’s trail so she started moving down to the training room. She stopped when she spotted the two

he shook his head. “it’s not your fault and neither of us blame you.. the car was acting in self defense.” he said and moved to hug jesse. connor moves in. “sir? i have something for jesse.” he said, standing in front of GB

Jesse blinked, hugging Gabriel back tightly. He then looked over when he heard Connor. He tilted his head. “...For me? Connor you didn’t have to get me anything. It’s not even my birthday.” He said

he hummed. “i think you’ll like it.” he said and gave an awkward little smile and moved aside. he hummed. “i took out any spying components, made sure that it’d be able to tell you everything it knows, sir.” he told Gabe.

Jesse looked over, spotting GB. Jesse’s eyes widened. “Hey girl.” Jesse murmured. He slowly pulled away from Gabe, moving over to her. He then started petting her head. She let out a soft purring noise

gabe hesitated, watching worriedly. connor moved over and leaned towards gabe. "don't worry. i marked you and everyone else as nonthreats in her database." he said and gabe nodded. "still.. it makes me nervous.." he mumbled.

Jesse knealt down a bit, gently hugging her around her neck. She pinned her ears back, gently bumping her head against his chest. They then pulled away after a minute. GB looked up at Gabriel.
