✼ born to cole leventis and austin frazier. the pair weren't married and had just graduated high school; they haven't even told anyone they were together.
✼ cole was apart of the southside serpents, a gang, while his mother lived on the northside of town- aka the better part of town -and her parents would never agree to her dating cole. fast forward to her parents finding out, helping her along with the pregnancy not knowing who the father was, and then to the birth. something went wrong resulting in the unfortunate passing away of austin during birth. cole came out as the rightful father of casey and took full responsibility of him. austin's parents, shortly after her funeral, moved out of town not wanting to be reminded of that chapter. [honestly not the best i've come up with but it's better and less complicated ig compared to his original "backstory"]
✼ cole actually did really well as a young single father. he worked at a car repair whatever and was really good at what he did. while he was at work he had casey be homeschooled by their neighbor up until he was 13. when he was a freshman he was enrolled in the high school on the north side of town[his dad just wanted the best for him yknow with them living in a trailer and on the southside].
✼ that year he met his best friend aj. the two have been so extremely close despite having only known each other for a few years. they just seemed to click really well. aj was probably his first friend if i'm being honest. he always preferred to be alone until he met him which was actually scary. he was so fine with being alone and the quiet and not talking to people, but aj just changed that and now he just can't handle being alone for too long. he needs someone talking and laughing with him.
✼ he got in a shit ton of fights. he has pretty bad anger issues and the smallest things set him off and everyone knew this. aj would have to bandage up his bloody and bruised knuckles; he became casey's nurse basically.
✼ he caught a crush on aj which sucked cause aj liked benji and there's sm drama that went down and casey felt like an asshole because he did not like benji at all because he was a dick to casey. a fight between aj and casey led to casey deciding to just leave and enroll in south side high.
✼ there he became a serpent and felt more like he belonged there. he met had, braxton, dollie, and sam. he had a family. his father was the head of the serpents, too.
✼ bleh bleh. he met phoebe, who is a year older than him and was held back by his parents a grade, and his heart nearly burst. he didn't think he'd really find anyone, content with the idea he'd be alone til the day he died, but bee just changed that. he was really hesitant and any form of physical affection was tough for him to get used to since it was new to him. he warmed up to it though after going slow and god he loves him. it's scary but it's true.
✼ forgot to add that smth went down with his dad and he ran away from home and came across an abandoned theater that hadn't been touched for a while. he made that place his home for a while but now it's really just a place he goes to when he needs to be alone or something. a comfort place. a safe space for him. things are better with his dad, but he still will occasionally sleep at the theater.

cole n austin were 18 when they had casey, austin died during childbirth due to complications, austin's parents moved, cole didnt want to give casey up so he raised him as a single dad and he was homeschooled until the end of what would be 8th grade.
does- does that make it less complicated.
i confused myself when i was writing it the first time.

this whole season is just me wanting the lodges to crash and burn, choni to thrive, Archie to get his damn head straight and think for himself and not be manipulated by the lodges[and tbh Veronica a bit woof], jughead to thrive, betty’s “brother” to perish, and Cheryl to be given the love and warmth and reassurance she has been deprived of her whole life and not be treated so horribly. also Archie n jughead at each other’s throats cUz ARCHIE IS BEING ANNOYING N AGGRAVARTING AND BL I N D.
