What should be Bearbones' main focus?

  [font=trebuchet ms]speaking largely from my experience on FF prior to BB’s formation, backboards can remain active, but it’s often a struggle
  because some, like TidalClan and the Cartel, were able to remain consistently active up until the site changes, but others, like LithiumClan, had occasional bouts of activity but often struggled with getting new members due to their backboard status
  and while I don’t think the situation here is ever going to get as bad as it did on FF, especially since there’s no post count requirement and there aren’t that many boards, even so I’m still kind of iffy on the idea of shunting WNR to the back

  with that said, the deregulation might help
  I’ve seen a lot of people saying that their main gripe with WNR is that they have to buy everything, and that it takes a long time to build up enough currency to do anything interesting, so retooling the shop to make things cheaper/not requiring so many things to be purchased would likely help with that
  so if the shop rework/reduction/whatever you want to call it would only happen if WNR was put in the backboards, I might be less apprehensive about the idea

now that doesn't seem as worth it bc for fandom.. i'm literally one of the like.. maybe four people that post on it? as well as the human rp or other rp. i hink if you made it so you earned a lot less bones so it'd be easier to get and staff approved, you could buy a board??

it's plausible, however

i think currently like. considering bb's activity a way to make more boards wouldn't be a fabulous idea, i think maybe in the future (say wnr becomes backboards) after a group proves how active it is it can pay for a backboard? but idk

hmmmm ok so this is a stretch but speaking of backboards.. tnw + back boards in the fangtoup thing?? i've seen a few that have gotten off their feet but it sorta drowned?? personally i always preferred back boards on things like ff, but mostly for groups and such?? i mean, wnr is so inactive that that's why this entire discussion is going on so what would be the point of adding more unless it got active again??

i think the buy-a-board option could be a lot of fun, but it could definitely get kind of messy. maybe buy-a-backboard? i'm not sure how plausible it could be to buy a backboard for tnw, but it could definitely be nice, and make it a lot easier to have a backboard group, even if it was pretty pricey. possibly buying your own board in character creation? just to have like one huge board for your character(s), which might be appealing to people who have galleries. but considering how many people probably have hoards of bones saved up, we could also be looking at a billion boards quickly

i love all the ideas thrown out for ooc things, but i am a little wary about buying events and things like that, because someone might want something that a lot of people aren't interested in, if that makes sense? that's the only one that i'm,, hesitant about

While we really appreciate all the input and thoughts that are coming out of this discussion, we as staff have realized that it's quickly changed from what we intended it to be. So if you guys have any more input on things like the shop, what we can spend bones on, activity issues, etc, please post them in this thread that Crows made earlier! We'd like to keep this discussion solely on the main games. Thanks for understanding!
