so when jules was living in italy with her parents, they were pretty hard on her as well as her dance coaches. they’d even go as far as to tell her she needed to slim down or she’d be able to do certain things if she lost some weight. this made her self conscious of course and she wanted to be the best she could be, but after attempting to stop eating a few times, she became frustrated and felt like she’d never get any better.
julia voiced her fears to one of her friends that she was also in her ballet class who basically told her she could eat food as long as she didn’t digest it.
this started julia’s battle with bulimia. she doesn’t do it as much anymore, but still from time to time and she gets worse when she’s stressed or anxious.
