basically, because persona 5 just came out, i'd like to make a roleplay revolving around shin megami tensei (the original series that persona is spun off from)

in shin megami tensei, the story of most games usually starts the same: the apocalypse is here, demons are taking over, and humans hunt, befriend and kill demons to survive
i was thinking of going for smt4 in particular since there's a lot of interesting lore there i could use as story plots;;
it would be based in tokyo!

i just want to make something to do with Persona or SMT but doing one to do with SMT is less work than something to do with Persona

But basically there's a lot of fucked up shit™ to do with this Tokyo because some people will do absolutely anything to get the demons off their back and it's super interesting

ps it's less "sexy lady with red skin and horns" kinda demon and more "literal monster" kinda demon
most of the demons in SMT are monsters and gods from mythology from all around the globe. Anubis, Raijuu, Cu Chulainn, Thoth, Minotaur, Cockatrice, some old school RPG monsters like Pixie, Slime, etc
There are some demons that are powerful enough to disguise as humans but those are only like, higher gods sorta power. Demons are classed into things like Fairies, Beasts, Foul/Undead, but the strongest are usually Megami or Deity, so...[/spoiler]
