[align=center][div style="width: 440px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; line-height: 12px;"][size=8pt][spoiler=oof ignore this]slowly, slowly, she bent over, unlacing the strings of her boots and slipping her feet out, followed by the socks. her hands crept to the button of her pants, long, golden fingers, trembled as she unbuttoned them, unzipped. she pulled them down slowly, anxiously, and with that, the canvas began. scars marred her legs, the same gold as the rest of her body, little white lines risen off of the skin. so, so many. whips, knives, stabbings - knees and calves showed the wear and tear of years of hitting them on hard, cruel earth.

she didn't look at the scars, didn't look away from the body in front of her. she looped her fingers around the hem of her shirt, tugging it upwards and off, mocha brown curls falling lazily with the effort. there, the scarring was worse. the most prominent among the marks on her frame were the two long ones, disappearing beneath the hem of her undergarments at the top and bottom, running parallel. they were cut so evenly, so precisely, so deeply. more marked her stomach, but the next eye catching, perhaps the most was the one on her neck. one side to the other, the cut that was meant to be killing but not quite deep enough. the others, they said torture, but not this one. this one said dead, it said she'd nearly been lost, nearly been gone forever.

tears had formed and began to fall, rolling down her face, down her neck, trailing their way over the marks and leaving cold, wet trails behind them. still, she pulled her hair up, fingers now full blown shaking, tied the curls around each other to hold them in place. tattoos marked her frame, a series of dots that told a dark story of a girl who'd been broken, again and again. her face, the look of fear and uncertainty in her eyes, said broken. said she was waiting for them to reel, to turn away, to hack at the sight of such a pretty thing ruined, of a lovely flower with rotted petals.

sucking in sharply, eyes closing, she swallowed the fear and anxiety back, her throat tight. when she opened them again, she'd try to make eye contact, nervous and afraid. "me." she'd whisper, the one brief word carrying so much weight in it.[/spoiler]

- has a really intense limp and pain when walking due to a past injury in her right leg. bad nerve damage, pretty much the only thing she feels in it is pain. uses crutches for distance, but has a brace that she can kind of limp around on with external support. vaguely based off of raven's injury from the 100?
- not really sure what her childhood was like, but? when she was twelve, the people she was with were all killed and she was hurt badly. this band of guys found her, and they all kinda argued over whether they should put her out of her misery. one of them promised to heal her, they agreed to let her stay so long as she could keep up with them.
- the guy helped her, over the next few years helped her learn to manage herself and taught her how to heal so that she'd be of some use in case something happened to him
- when she was sixteen, the whole group got hella sick except for her. he died but she kept them all alive, so as a form of thanks, and also because she'd "proven herself" to them, when they got better they kept her with them. she kinda saw them all as a bunch of dads? but also mothered the fuck out of them.
- they were all older to begin with, and over the years they kinda died off? sickness, fighting, that sort of thing.
- the last one is hella sick but he wants her to go somewhere she can be safe, so he has her go to flintlock (?)
