![]() ![]() [div style="background-color:transparent; border: none; width: 400px; height: auto; margin-top: -10px;"] [align=left][justify][size=13pt]LUPITA DESIREE PEREZ  when she was younger, her mom used to call her 'pollito', as a term of endearment. to this day, she still hates it, and hates to think about it. otherwise, everyone else calls her lupita.  she was born on march 30th, making her an aries, but she doesn't really care for zodiacs, she prefers more scientific methods for determining personality.  her mother was young when she had lupita, and she didn't have the best upbringing either, so her mother was determined to birth lupita and raise her right. but when her boyfriend found out that maria was with child, he walked out and left her to pick up the pieces he left behind.  maria was a good mother, at least when lupita was first born. the first two years of lupita's life was fine, well, even. until lupita was diagnosed with leukemia, luckily, with chemotherapy, she entered complete remission when she turned three. but by then, the damage was done. maria was deathly terrified that the cancer would come back, and lupita would be hurt. so she took measures to prevent that, that meant manipulating doctors to give her medications in order to keep 'preventative' measures.  when lupita was five years old, she ended up developing seizures and insomnia due to the adverse side effects of her medications clashing. before long, she was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy and had to use a wheel chair. lupita spent the next four years of her life deteriorating before her father stepped in.  her father, glenmore, had been keeping an eye on lupita from afar. after he left upon finding out that maria was pregnant, he got some sense knocked into him by the time that his daughter was two. but after attempting to ask maria for at least visiting rights when his daughter was diagnosed with leukemia, to which maria vehemently denied. glenmore was devastated, to say the least. he tried his best to regain contact, by sending letters, visiting school events to see his daughter grow up, and anything else he could do.  when lupita turned nine, glenmore finally took things to court. he had only wanted visiting rights, at least, which were being denied to him. but due to the court case, people finally caught on that maria had munchausen by proxy, meaning that maria was causing and making up illnesses in lupita, making it a form of child abuse. maria was sent to a mental institute, and glenmore gained full custody of lupita.  as lupita began slowly detoxing and getting weaned off of the heavy dosages of drugs, she also had to adjust to her new life with her father, a man she has never known. she was never allowed to read his letters, and her mother dragged her away whenever he attempted to visit- lupita didn't know him. she also had to learn and process what her mother had done and what was going to happen to her now.  when lupita hit eleven, she was finally leading a normal life. she still wasn't extremely close to her father, but they were working on it, and at this point, she began to despise her mother. when she was younger, she visited her mother often in the institute, but when she reached the age of eleven, she decided to cut off contact, or at least wean it off. her father still urged her to go and visit from time to time, he knew more than anyone that maria loved lupita with all her heart.  but lupita had other things to deal with as well, she had a lot of trouble adapting to school and making friends. she was so sheltered with her mother, and furthermore, she was in and out of school often, so she missed a lot. but her father worked a lot to support the two of them, so lupita was suddenly given so much free reign, as well as alone time that she wasn't used to. she didn't know what to do and truthfully, she began feeling lonely.  she was also made fun of, a lot. for being mixed, she didn't fit in. she spoke spanish, but she didn't look like the latinx kids. she looked black, but she didn't grow up with them. white kids didn't want to hang out with her, the asian kids had their own group, and lupita was alone. not only that, but she struggled with social cues. no one wanted to try and teach the new kid right from wrong during conversations. she didn't know that she wasn't supposed to call someone an idiot to their face- no one taught her that. so yeah, she had a tough time.  life got a little easier in high school. she learned that if she couldn't fit into the puzzle, she'd make her own damn puzzle. she made her own group of friends, educated herself on how to fit in, and just. lupita stood a little taller. and that was noticed. she was scouted by an acting agency when she was around thirteen, almost fourteen. they seemed credible, glenmore was okay with it, and lupita wanted to try it. and next thing she knew, she became the "breakout actress."  her popularity skyrocketed overnight after she first premiered in a movie. and now, lupita had all eyes on her, all spotlights on her, and a newfound fame that she 1. wasn't used to and 2. didn't know what to do with. she went from lonely to completely overwhelmed with all the attention.  it wasn't long before people dug out her past, what with her mom and her family. and at first, lupita was ashamed- after all, that was exactly how the tabloids portrayed it, like some kind of scandal that lupita should've been ashamed by. but after meeting another celebrities, they quickly taught her that there was no point in being ashamed. they would only hound her for more information due to her fear. they told her to remain confident, share her story, tell it from her side. and she did.  after being labeled as the "pity kid" by media for a while, she dispelled that by stepping up to the plate. she created a name for herself at the age of seventeen and, furthermore, became a beacon of hope for many other kids out there. it was okay to be different, to come from a difficult life- the important thing was to not let yourself get down. not to mention, she was a great actress, people loved seeing her on the big screen.  lupita is very headstrong, and confident. she's learned to be after her hell of a ride growing up. she was walked all over by her mother, by other kids, by the general public, and finally, she has learned to take things in stride. not to say that it is easy, since she gets insecure still, and often, but she will always stand tall and proud, and she doesn't need praise or approval to get through life.  despite seeming like an extrovert, lupita is a total introvert. she enjoys time to herself, and tends to get exhausted if she's stuck around others for too long. not to say she doesn't like hanging out with people, but she needs time to be by herself, she prefers to hang out with smaller groups, and just.. yeah, she's not the best at parties.  she's not the most forgiving person out there. she has finally forgiven her mother, and she visits a lot more often. but she doesn't keep those who have wronged her around, usually. it's hard to gain lupita's trust, and even harder to keep it. not to say she doesn't like making friends, since she does, but if she gets betrayed or hurt, she is quick to drop people.  can come off as selfish. she has learned to put herself first, especially after being robbed of her childhood by her mother, she doesn't intend to miss any more of her life by putting other people first. she will go to the ends of the earth for those she truly loves and cares about, but otherwise, she will put herself first.  she's never been in a single relationship, and she's still kind of not available for one. it's partially due to her lifestyle, but also the fact that she hasn't met anyone she's actually interested in, in a romantic way. she's bicurious, she hasn't ever been with a girl, but she hasn't been with a guy either, and she's really curious about both.  loves kids, she visits the children's center in the hospital whenever she has time since she knows how boring and lonely it can be from personal experience. she also just loves to visit them and hang out with them and everything. she finds it fun, and she likes being there for them if they need anything. she has a real soft spot in her heart for kids.  this is anubis. anubis is the only love of her life, thanks.
