Gladio blinked, watching him. Noctis blinked, opening his eyes. Gladio watched them, pulling them closer. He chuckled a bit sadly. "I remember the first time Noct got into trouble. You were about six at the time." Gladio murmured, glancing down at Noctis. "Ignis, you tried scolding him, but all it took was Noctis go go over and hug your leg and tell you he loved you and you forgot all about punishing him. You were very sneaky back then, Noct. You knew the best way to get out of trouble." Gladio murmrued.

Noctis blinked, looking at Ignis. Yeah...He remembered that. "And I remember that you were trying so hard not to smile because you wanted to act like the tough parent." Noctis murmured, a faint smile tugging at his lips.

he let out a broken laugh and sort of leaned into them both. "yeah.. i remember that.. and then gladio threatened to hang you up by your toes if you didn't go to your room, so i scolded him for threatening you.."

Noctis tightened his arms around him a bit. He let out a shaky breath. "Yeah...Even defending me against dad." He said softly. Gladio chuckled.

"Yep. Because no one messes with Ignis's baby. Not even me." Gladio said softy

he sniffed and felt tears forming. "is it ok for
me to be scared?" he whispered.

Noctis blinked. He sniffed, but slowly pulled away. He met Ignis's gaze. "...Death is scary. There's...No way to make that any easier. But, I..." Noctis trailed off when he felt a lump forming in his throat. He swallowed. "But I know death isn't goodbye. For now...We may not have you by our side. But that doesn't mean you're truly gone. It...Just means we have to wait a little longer to be reunited in the afterlife. Where we'll be a family for eternity. And nothing can ever harm us again." Noctis whispered.

he sniffed and smiled weakly. "that's my boy.." he whispered and kissed his head, before kissing gladio a bit deeply.

Noctis set a hand on Ignis's arm. His eyes closed at the kiss and he gave his arm a soft squeeze. Gladio let his eyes close. He gently rested his hand on Ignis's cheek, kissing him back softly.

he pulled away after a moment, head hung. he suddenly made a pained noise.

Noctis froze, his eyes wide. He set a hand on Ignis back, looking him over. Gladio frowned, gently propping Ignis up in his arms. He held him gently.

his eyes had started slowing a bright fuchsia colour, and blue electricity seemed to course on certain places on face. he held onto the tightly, seeming frozen from pain.
