zeke prompt for oneshot:
- a nightmare; in the nightmare he's a kid again(10?? 12?) and he's basically reliving.. probably one of the worst times of his life. when he should have just stayed back at the motel, stace having gotten an emergency call from ray that he needed backup. but zeke wanted to help. he wanted to be more than just the youngest son who was practically a burden, being dragged around. so when he felt stace was far enough so he wouldnt be caught, he borrowed some unchained bike and raced after them. he was rlly sneaky, yeah, but smth happened and he accidentlly got attention drawn towards him bc maybe the monster was choking stace and ray was knocked out and he was too scared to cry and panicked and the monster turned and saw him and when it felt stacewas knocked out/dead it went to try and choke zeke and zeke very nealry almost died but like yknow big bro stacecomin in and svain him and runs to zeke and holds him and calming him down and making sure he's okay and zeke is a fucking mess he's clinging onto stace so tight sobbing and apologizing and he sees ray stir awake and he physically flinches and sinks into big bro's hug more and while theres more worry and concern for zeke, zeke feels like there's more.like there's anger. and this is when the nightmare/made-up part comes in. they get to the motel and suddenly ray just goes All Out. stace, coming in to try and get ray to back up off of zeke and go easy but he deadass shoves stace into a wall and is yelling sm at zeke and calling him all these things and he feels like he's getting smaller and smaller and he'scfying, irl too and calling out "im sorry, im sorry, i failed. i didnt mean to hurt him, it's my fault" and crying out for stace and oof
