It had been a few hours later. Noctis has finally decided to go face reality again. He soon awoke, only to find himself back on the train in the sleeping car. He blinked, looking around. He soon got to his feet, leaving the small room. He could see that the train had now stopped. They must be in Cartanica.

Noctis hesitated before leaving the train. Outside was a small train station. It had a small diner and shop. There was also an abandoned mine here which they needed to go into to find the last weapon Noctis had to get from his ancestors.

Once outside, he glanced around. He could see Ignis leaning on the railing on the platform that overlooked the desert below. Prompto and Gladio must be in the diner. Noct hesitated before moving over to Ignis.

“Specs?” Noctis asked. He couldn’t help but feel a tug at his heart when Ignis gave a very faint flinch. Ignis didn’t seem to notice it though. He turned his head to Noctis.

“Good, you’re up. Prompto told me you had fallen asleep.” Ignis said. He then turned his head towards the horizon again. Noctis stood beside him, glancing ahead.

prompto and gladio soon came out with burgers and prompto blinked. "hey! you're up!"
