fates is part of fire emblem! fire emblem awakening and fire emblem fates have diff plots and i think characters

almost all of the fire emblem games are set in different ages, from what i understand, fates is one of the earliest in the timeline, while awakening mentions other games and is set much further down the timeline. They're all turn-based strategy rpgs, but Awakening and Fates have extra mechanics of building relationships with characters and making them have kids like a matchmaker
some games do have recurring characters or similar characters, like there's a red-headed girl named Anna in multiple games, similar to Cid in Final Fantasy being recurring. [align=center]
