[div style="background=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; text-align: center; font-size: 9pt; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase; color: black; width: 450px; font-family: arial;"]He doesn't think in the time he's known Aj that they've ever really gone to one another's homes. He refused to let anyone come to his; the last thing he needs is his parents bragging and being assholes. The last, and really only, time Casey had gone to Aj's place he hadn't even gone inside. It was only to see why he hadn't been at the diner. Ever since that day he's always felt uneasy just thinking about it. When they hung out it was at school, at the diner, or that old playground.

In all honesty, the diner was more of a home than his real one. There he was just another customer and nobody cared enough to take notice of the gloomy boy in the corner who always glared at his plate of fries. The boy who always wore a look of agitation, who had bruised knuckles from lashing out and punching a wall when riled up. That's what he was on the outside, anyway. Casey was more than pent up frustration and fight. He was full of funny comebacks, sarcasm, and lost his touch shell around his friends. When he smiles it's either passive aggressive or genuinely happy -- whether it be small or not.

Loneliness was something he was used to growing up. His father left him. His mother practically chose money over him. When he was in 7th grade he had a science fair and he was so proud of it. Day and night he worked hard to perfect it. She had promised Casey she'd be there. Imagine the mix of anger and sadness in his eyes when he went up to get his ribbon for 2nd place and he didn't see her in the crowd of proud parents. How after a few minutes of trying to find her, he eventually gave up and, with hot tears in his eyes, he stormed off the stage. Clenching the certificate so tight the paper crumpled and his knuckles turned pale. She was never for him. Alexandre was never there for him. Nobody would ever be there for Casey.

So when he met Aj, it was the first time he knew what it was like to not be alone. It made him nervous. He hadn't expected to get so close to someone the way he did with Aj. Countless times the redhead had his back, calmed him down, and made him actually smile and laugh genuinely. Casey was convinced he'd never have a home where he'd actually be happy. That is, until he realized home isn't just four walls and a bed. Home can be a person, who has proved to you multiple times that they will never leave your side and will always provide you comfort. His home was Aj.

Casey laid on the makeshift bed he'd made behind the concession, staring up at the hole in the ceiling which filtered in moonlight right on top of him, and thought about all of this. When he thought of his mother he grew tense. His jaw clenched and his nose flared. But then he thought of Aj, and that smile and hearing the words of comfort he'd heard so many times from him, and calm down. Casey's breathing would go back to normal, his expression would grow soft, and he'd relax everything. He thought of the funny moments he shared with the other boy and couldn't help but smile and start laughing. His laughter echoed in the abandoned lobby of the theater.

The dark haired boy raised his hands to his face and if someone was listening close enough, they could easily distinct the way his laughter turned into crying. He had always thought loneliness was on his side. He didn't realize how fast it could turn on him. So Casey lay there on his side, curled in a ball, his body shaking as he tried to keep his cries as quiet as he could.

The next morning he didn't go to school. Instead he slept in until two and, when he did get up, spent his day at the diner waiting for his favorite person. His home.

when it comes to casey's thoughts and shit about aj my muse is just like PEWWW FIREOWKR NOISE EFFECT PEW INSERT FIREWORK PNG HERE P EW
dontget me wrong cheryl has DEFINITELY gone through hell. losing her brother, finding out that her father was both a) smuggling drugs secretly and all that shit and b) the person who killed her brother without mercy, believing (and tbh it might just be true unfortunately for the poor girl) that her entire family hates her and WANTED her to fail at the maple syrup shit ceremony.

but there were times where i just would get so frustrated. bc she's the cliche rich girl who acts like a btich and like shes all high and mighty bc of her parents and family. she'd say things that just riled me up(i.e. when all the girls were talking about being slutshamed when nothing even really happened and etc and she called them sluts when she asked for them to go to practice, then proceeding to say "boys will be boys" in response to the boys doing such a terrible thing). but through the season ive seen True development and she's a queen and honestly deserves so much better than she's gotten.

cheryl has lost so much and from the shit that happened it seems impossible that she will ever recover from smth so traumatizing. but she's proved countless times she's strong-spirited and determined.
anyway enough about my cheryl ramble
