after a while, they had finally managed to get the baby to bed (turned out he wasn't feeling good and had a very tiny fever, which mickey had flipped over), and mickey was now sitting in the rocker they had set up for when yevvy was first being put to bed. "i think this is the first time he's gotten sick.."

Ian was sitting cross legged on the bed, watching Yevgeny quietly. She said softly as she looked up at Mickey, humming, "Well, you knew it was gonna happen eventually. He'll be alright, I'm sure."

the baby babbled and whimpered.

She blinked and looked down at the child for a moment, a faint spark of worry in her eyes. She said softly, gently bouncing as she walked, "No need to get all whimpery, Yevvy."
