if alfie does try to say anything it comes out as a conglomerate of sounds and attempts at words but makes zero sense and he doesn't know what's going on but he's too weak to fight back and is just a limp mess in zeke's arms and just he's in lots of pain and just feels so helpless and just clinging to zeke and hey now it's not just nightmares of his best friend dying but nightmares of this and he just doesn't sleep because every time he closes his eyes he's back in that room in pain and he becomes very detached and doesn't go outside

anyways, alfie doesn't know how to deal with any of the feelings that accompany the trauma and he's having lots of panic attacks and refusing to go outside and just holed up in his room trying to forget everything and drown out the pain through alcohol and it's kind of like he's forgotten how to properly function as a person and alfie refuses to go anywhere without zeke and just becomes very clingy and yeah

zeke is always there for him. he doesnt want to leave his side. he wants to help him somehow, ease it a bit. but he cant bc he knows how hard it is to come back from something so traumatizing. the last thing zeke ever wanted was for alfie to get wrapped up in his life/this kind of stuff but he guesses the world just rlly fucking hates him (': and he feels so bad and when he looks at alfie he almost starts crying cuz the guilt is so overwhelming. zeke tries to make him stop drinking sm and when he sees alfie drink he'll walk over and try to take the alcohol from him and give him water instead.

and just everything becomes void, he becomes void and just his eyes reflect that in deep, grey emptiness. he's a shell and doesn't know how to function and doesn't eat much just zeke is trying to hard but alfie feels so empty and he's just hit such a low in his life but he doesn't expect zeke' life to come to a halt because his is at a standstill but he dreads anytime zeke has to go somewhere even if it's just to a different room justalways like "please don't go, don't leave me" in just a soft yet broken voice

the hunter just realising alfie isn't the shifter who was causing problems but then just torturing him for info and alfie doesn't know anything he legit didn't even know there was another shifter and he doesn't understand what he did wrong and why this hunter is hurting him but he obviously fucked up somehow. why else would a complete stranger be torturing him? and like maybe he's gone a few days before zeke actually takes notice
and then zeke shows up and alfie is like passed out and bloody and just broken and not moving like he probably doesn't even see what's happening around him. just probs on the brink of death and even if he's semi-conscious he's too weak to move or say anything and is just limp

mmmmm on of alfie's brothers having told said hunter that alfie was a shifter because alfie's oldest brother is an asshole. and then said brother telling zeke that alfie is with him for some brother bonding or whatever
