After about a half an hour, John managed to get all the kids rounded up and into the kitchen. He glanced over at Alex.

alex smiled. "you are a life saver." he said and pointed to the table. "all of you! now! don't think i won't be telling your mothers about this." he ordered and looked to phillip. "you too, sweetie." he said and ruffled the child's curly hair.

all of the kids scuttled to sit down and alex smiled at john. "i'm serious! i was chasing them for an hour before you got here. how did you do it?"
