Ignis gave him a soft squeeze before starting to walk, following the sound of Gladio’s footsteps.

It was around twenty minutes later. They had gotten the weapon and were now on their way back. Gladio was sticking close to them. Ignis has his gaze fixed ahead. His cane was lightly tapping on the ground as he walked beside them. He stopped after a momemt when he heard something. Gladio frowned.

“Ignis? You okay?” He asked. Ignis frowned.

“We’re being followed. Something is going to attack. Most likely that snake creature following us. I want you two to run. I can’t run that well and it’s only going to slow you two down. Now go. I will give you two a chance to escape.” Ignis said. Gladio frowned, his eyes wide.

“Are you kidding Ignis!?” Gladio asked, watching him. “No! We’re not leaving you.” Gladio said.

“Well that’s not your decision. You have a job to do. Protect Noct. We all stay, we’re going to get hurt or killed. You two need to get out of here.” Ignis siad

noct scowled. "no. i order you to follow. you have no choice now, come on."

Ignis frowned. Gladio set a hand on Ignis’s lower back, helping him along. They stopped though when the large snake creature slithered out in front of them. It lifted its massive head, towering over the group. It hissed, flicking its tongue out at them. Ignis turned his head towards the snake. Gladio cursed under his breath, quickly drawing up his greatsword. The snake lunged for them, butGladio quickly swung the sword, cutting its cheek a bit. The snake drew it’s head back as Ignis three anktherfireball at it, causing the grass in front of it to catch on fire. The snake hissed, moving away from the fire a bit.

he thought quickly, conjuring his sword. "get it to raise up!" he said.

Ignis and Gladio looked at Noctis. Gladio nodded. Ignis frowned, chucking another fireball at it, causing it to hiss. It raised its head, eyeing Ignis, as if preparing to strike at him.

he hissed. "higher, come on guys! make it sort of stand! like a cobra!"

Gladio frowned. The snake suddenly shit forward, grabbing Ignis. Only one half of his body was stuck in the snake’s mouth. Ignis hissed in pain, gripping his dagger. He quickly stabbed it in the cheek, causing the snake to shake its head before letting go of Ignis, sending him flying a few feet before roughly crashing to the ground.

“Ignis!” Gladio called out. He yelle, suddenly swinging down the sword on the snake’s body, causing it to raise its head and let out an angry hiss

that's when noct phased up and his sword lodged just under the head and he started to slide down the snakes body. "fuck fuck fuck!" he yelled, not expecting to go down so quickly.
