quiet, unsure, lost, uncomfortable, wary. nightmares of sango, of being attacked. it's all a sick joke, a game. she's being toyed with, lured into a false sense of security. is she safe? is it all a lie? it feels so strange to be back in shadowclan. she's lost her hawkclan scent. it's like she never lived there. she's no longer an enemy of shadowclan. she feels guilty, for leaving littlestar, for failing to reconcile with her. her best friend, gone. inu no longer has a mother. sekhmet no longer has a cousin. she betrayed them all. there's no going back. it's terrifying. but she also wants to stay with shadowclan; it's comforting, even if it is scary. she's home, finally. will she ever be happy, though? she feels empty. shadowclan feels empty. twinskeletons, sans, candy, even gardenpaw. they're all gone. would they all hate her if they weren't?. it's not the same. nothing will ever be the same.

stage two
coming to terms. she isn't going back to hawkclan. no one is coming back. she has frisk, but that's it. they can build a new home together. perhaps everything will be alright. she doesn't have to fear sango, or shadowclan, or bloodclan. there is no war, no famine. she is safe. she is comfortable. things are different, but they're calm. things are looking up once more. will she lose it all again? she is confident that she won't. everything will be alright.

stage three
victory. confidence. everything is alright. better than alright, actually. she's happy, she's put the past behind her. she has nothing to fear. she's established herself here, it is no longer an unfamiliar, alien world. it's her world. she is in control. no longer does she focus on her flaws; she's overcome that self-doubt. she's tired of hating herself. she's tired of the guilt, the regret, the longing. self-indulgent. she deserves it, deserves to feel good; she's suffered so much. no longer will she suffer. she won't allow it.
