Richie honestly felt terrible about what he had done today, and he really wanted to make it up to his boyfriend. Eddie had been avoiding him the entire day, and had even avoided leaving together, so Richie had ditched his last class of the day and rushed home to see if perhaps he could make something to apologize to him. He was lucky Scott and Jacob were still out, since he knew Scott would throw a hissy fit if he missed a class. At the moment, he was making the finishing touches on a small - well, pretty huge for a cupcake, actually - cupcake, and he winced as he heard the door open, knowing it was Eddie from the lighter footsteps.

eddie was sort of exhausted, and when he hadn't seen richie at the car, he had started getting nervous. "richie..?" he called softly, frowning.

[peridot.]

Taking a deep breath and feeling his chest clench with nerves - he wasn't used to being the nervous one of the two, even for a bit, and it was the worst. Picking up the small plate with the cupcake on it, he headed for the door, saying softly once he was front of Eddie, looking down, "Hey, Eds. I, uhm, I'm sorry for earlier today."

he blinked at richie and blinked. "why didn't you tell me you went home early? i thought some bully had drowned you in the bathroom.."

"Because I wanted to surprise you because I was an asshole boyfriend." He said, sighing a bit and not looking up at the other, "Besides, you know the bullies would much rather torment me alive." He said that last part jokingly, biting at his lip.

he made a soft noise. "you scared me to death, richie..." he whispered and leaned to kiss him gently.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, okay! I'm a dumbass, I would've figured you already knew this considering how long we've been friends! I'll have to apologize and make this up to him.." He sighed and shook his head, looking down.
