i wouldn't worry about them being a mary sue, tbh!! half the fun (at least to me cx) is figuring out how they would have adapted to the current day throughout time, and in doing so making them a bit more well rounded. god knows sam was grossly perfect in 2010 but muuuuuch better in 2015/16 xp
