There had been... very little discussion about mental health in Gray's biological family. It was largely unsupported, though, and came with the bullshit about transgender people being mentally ill. Things with the Hansons had been better, more accepting and supportive, but the most common one talked about was depression. They hadn't been super knowledgeable with most things, so he didn't know anything about a great many mental illnesses, nor how to treat people with them. Just look at him with Jack, he saw someone violent and unstable instead of a man with PTSD that needed help.

It was safe to say that Gray hadn't heard the term neuroatypical either, and he wasn't sure what he made of it, or the person that used it. They seemed... off kilter, but most folks here were. This was different somehow, though. He wasn't sure if it would be good or bad, but he'd had all of five seconds to form that impression.

"Welcome to the Flintlock Lodge." He said, hands deep in the pockets of his hoodie. "Name's Gray."

Six still felt nervous and had fallen silent, comforted by the presence of Hux and Jack by her side, even Johannes when he arrived - and they all seemed to have well in hand, so she declined to comment further although she did inch forward a little when he said that to Hux, she - she didn't like threats against people and that had sounded like one, veiled as it might be.

But again this could all be part of who this guy was - but Six trusted her instincts, she would be wary but the others had spoken, he was in the lodge now and while wary she would make the attempt to be welcoming.

Neuroatypical - that word she knew, it's what the doctors called people like her and others that had mental conditions, because they weren't the normal breed of human, she didn't hate the word but sometimes it did grate at her.

Mostly because out of the mouths of some people it sounded like another word for crazy, and it sounded like another way to tell people they were wrong - or at least in her case it felt that way, she knew mentally ill covered a lot of things, that there were people who were 'broken' and needed help.

Still she could feel the bitter thoughts creep in briefly.
