he blinked, staring at the phone and s blush spread across his face. "wait wha-" he heard the beeping of the call getting hung up and blinked. "uh.."

Robert continued his cursing even after the phone was hung up, and put it down in his lap, covering his face with his hands and groaning loudly. At least he knew that Joseph couldn't leave the house right now to try and come talk to him.

almost instantly, a string of texts came in on roberts phone. joseph bit his lip.

call me back.
robert what the hell.
you can't just say that and then hang out.
dammit robert.
answer me!
DAMMIT.

Robert winced as he felt his phone vibrating wildly. He hesitated before texting back, hands shaking, Sorry, can't talk about this right now.

joseph hesitated. he sighed.

He bit his lip and stared down at his phone for a long moment before he texted back, wincing a little, Yes, I meant it. Please don't hate me.

he felt his heart flutter, and he hesitated. he soon heard the door open, and he sighed. mary just got home. we need to talk later.

He hesitated before texting back and putting his phone down, Alright. Good luck with Mary.

he smiled. "thank you, robert." he said.

"No problem. I've gotta go deal with my new squirrel, so I guess I'll talk to you later. Love you." He mumbled absentmindedly, looking at his new pet. Suddenly he realized what he had said, and his eyes went wide. He immediately started cursing up a storm, quickly hanging up.
