ic ;; David never liked leaving a place he settled in, unless he had to leave. He had found a good, relatively-ish safe home in Bluestem, and settled down until he would have to leave again. His daughter was still missing, and he still needed to find her. Somewhere. He had talked with Selena maybe once or twice, and had talked to her at the Valentine's meeting. He had given her a friendship flower and fled shortly after she had taken it, afraid she might reject the offer.

The big man was nothing more than a gentle giant. He didn't know his own strength, and has often hurt people by accident. He has resorted to trying his best to be as gentle as possible, and if someone were to give him a piece of paper, the page would barely wrinkle when he'd grab it. He knew what his strength was capable of, and to say he was afraid was a little bit of an overstatement.

He was petrified.

Finding out that Selena was in Los Santos was easy; he had overheard somewhere that that was where she was. He had been worried about her, and with talk of a new possible baby, he wanted to make sure she was okay. He had his worries, and knew that he should keep his nose out of her business, but he couldn't help but want to offer assistance in helping with the baby.

So that's exactly what landed him outside the gate of Los Santos. It wasn't an easy trip, the man had a few scrapes on his legs, but he was finally here, and he felt exhausted. David had a bad reputation of pushing himself until he knew he was safe. He was like that with his own baby: he never slept, ate, or even so much as blinked until he knew she was safe and sound. After losing Roxy's mother, David often paced outside of Roxy's bedroom from fear that she would meet the same fate as her mom. They had moved shortly after the break-in, because David's grief was swallowing both of them whole.

He was protective, and he was worried. He passed the gate, making sure to close it behind him, as an act of politeness. He threaded his fingers together as he walked the streets, keeping his pale brown eyes out for Selena. He didn't know where, exactly, she would be, as he never bothered to ask around. The large man hated talking with other people, and often found himself shutting out others just so he wouldn't get overstimulated. Now his giant form moved almost silently until he came across the hotel.

From there, he took in a deep breath to gather himself up, and he walked up to the door and knocked.

Selena Felix

Sel could hardly sit still. She really couldn't. She managed okay most of the time when she was back home, but back home she was constantly going on errands for her father or for herself. No more than a few days were allowed to elapse before she went on some outing or another. These days she split her time between Los Santos and Bluestem, though thanks to her position in the former she tended to stay there more, especially of late when travel was so much harder.

Northstar was about all she had been able to manage, and that was because it was a necessity.

Most of the time, residents of the hotel wouldn't bother with knocking. Usually if there was knocking, it was because someone got locked out or because there was a new person. Someone lost, perhaps, or looking for her. By the time she finally got down the stairs, baby swaddled in her arms, and the door opened, she saw it was the latter. "David!" She exclaimed delightedly. "What are you doing here?"

She is usually a cheerful, friendly person but she definitely has a passion for the weird, dark and creepy. She is somewhat vain and egotistical. She has her secrets and one of them is her intelligence and ability to collect information; most dismiss her as a dumb party girl (or something like that) and that's part of her cover, she has her fair share of sins and has to have a way of hiding them, and because she is a good liar and good actress, she succeeds.

David was bouncing on the balls of his feet and chewing at his rather sore lip -- he often did that when he was anxious or worried. His hands waved slightly by his chest, and he all but froze the moment the door opened. He was hoping Selena would open the door, he knew it would be rather awkward trying to explain why he was there.

A big smile broke across his face when he saw the familiar woman, and her baby swaddled in her arms. "I- um. I just wanted to see how you were, with the baby and all. I was-" He cut himself off, his fingers bumping together. What do I say? Worried? Anxious? Petrified that you'd share the same fate? It won't happen to everybody. He inhaled a little and waved his hands again until he relaxed. "I wanted to see if you were okay."

His smile faded but for a moment, quickly returning as he let himself look down at Adelita. His smile broke wider, and a fondness fell across his face; he looked as if he were longing for something. "She is very pretty," he looked up at Selena, "looks just like her mother."

Of all the faces she expected to be staring back at her, it was not David's. Some part of her hoped it might be Mateo, coming to explain why he'd missed Adelita's birth. Not that she was displeased with his presence, not in the least bit. Her smile softened as he stumbled through his explanation of why he was there.

"I'm okay." She assured him, adjusting her grip on Adelita. It had been quite a while since she'd held a baby, so this was taking some getting used to. "So is she." Her gaze dropped to the infant, still utterly amazed that she had this tiny person in her arms. "Thank you... makes figuring out her father tricky, though." She really had been hoping her appearance would reveal who it was.
