I'm a shapeshifter (death & new body & open) what else should I be?

She shouldn't have even been rushing over the wide road, if it weren't for the fact the usual tunnel under was smouldering with heat and she was in a rush to get home; her eyes were locked on the forest on the other side of the road;

and not on the roaring clatter of metal coming down before her.

When feeling came back to her body, she ached with mysterious ebbing pain. Belladonna's vision came back slowly, her eyes taking a long time to focus to the dazzling light. She went to move her forelegs to get up, when she froze in shock.

She no longer had paws. Her legs were now replaced with broad, sturdy feathered wings, her fur now downy, caramel coloured feathers. Her once fluffy round face was now heart-shaped, her eyes once blazing yellow, now a deep pool of liquid silence.

Belladonna silently got up to scaly, raptor feet with long, slender talons, softly clicking on the forest floor. Turning her head and not her body, her head swivelled from the shade of the trees to the road she was crossing; and the tattered mass of her old body.

Wincing, she turned away, an unnatural noise clicking in her beak. Lowering her head, she wavered her wings over her head. What the fuck had she done?

ooc; Bella is now a melanistic barn owl!! (comes under medium predator body/bird of prey) I'll eventually buy her shapeshifting so she can have her cat body back, etc.

"S-Shuuya?" Belladonna croaked, unsure - her voice was mostly the same despite her new body, although a little softer. Tentively pulling her wing so away, she swivelled her head in his direction, her gaze softly landing on him. She was trembling now, confused and unsure. "I don't... I don't know what happened... it was... it was all a bright haze..."

How? What kind of witchcraft was this? It made the purebred confused as he walked over cautiously before he slowly gained confidence realizing that it was just Belladonna but she was an owl now. That was weird. Wasn't she a cat before? He frowned still a bit confused as to why this happened but simply said with a small grin "You alright?" He paused for a moment feeling bad that he didn't have an explanation for this but recalled how birds could fly "Hmm. . .Bright haze, you say? Do you remember anything that happened before said haze?" If Bella learned to fly then she could definitely help in their crisis yet he was keeping the flying question for later. Which was now, Stark took a deep breath "Do you think you can fly? Not now, of course, so you can have some time to adjust but eventually later."

No. I'm not alright... she thought glumly to herself, as she turned to face Stark. "I... I was checking the herb garden I was growing, the weather's been odd lately so I thought I'd better check..." she told him wistfully, before sighing softly. "On my way back, as the sun started to set, it was in my eyes and... I couldn't see anything, I had no fast routes to get back before sundown..." she explained, before looking down. She'd just... died. What on earth was going on?
