JUST STANDING WAITING FOR THE PUNCHES
Well, he'd run into multiple problems after shooing everybody out of the kitchen so he could cook a feast worthy of a king. The last time he'd tried to cook many of these dishes, he'd been in a place with a much different climate. They'd had easier access to fruits and veggies; there were greenhouses around the Lodge, but many of the vegetables were different and less plentiful than he would've liked. But he had plenty of snow and ice outside for quick cooling, so it sort of evened out.
It'd be alright, he'd make do with it. Any sort of bread was going to be a bitch to make, so he decided against it. Instead he took the leftover cuts from an elk caught earlier that week, butchered and seared the pieces. Medium rare, as he preferred to cook them.
He sauteed a collection of different vegetables, content to cook them until they were softer and warm. He charred some onion alongside the steaks and threw that in the batch of veggies as well, knowing it'd give the dish a bit of much-needed flavor.
With that done, Tomorrow continued for a while. He threw together a small green bean casserole - not necessarily one of his favorite things to eat, but it was tasty enough and it was healthy. For the purposes of not completely bogging down the thread with cooking, it was easy enough to assume Tomorrow continued for a good long while until there was enough to feed potentially the entirety of the Lodge.
He finally enlisted the help of a few npcs in bringing the food out at dinnertime, and stayed leaning against the doorframe as he watched people start to dig in. It wasn't exactly "thematic" for Valentines Day, and he'd already seen a few cooks go into the kitchen to prepare some Valentines Day-themed desserts for after dinner. For once, he didn't mind people sideeyeing him for his choice.
He'd had worse ways of coping, after all.
//tl;dr it's Valentines Day, Tomorrow cooked up a moderately large feast for dinnertime
