Powerful limbs guided a muscular, broad shouldered frame closer to the river, large paws wading into the bubbling depths. The form slithered with the ease of a snake through the river, current dragging at a thick coat of dusty brown tabby fur. In the afternoon light, sunlight filtered from between shaking, breeze swept tree limbs to caress tufted ear tips and tickle whiskers, reflective liquid shining blue. Tigerstar resurfaced upon the opposite end of the bank, his tail flicking sparkling droplets from fur, splattering leaf litter. Tigerstar glanced behind him with blistering optics as he made his way further up the bank. "Remember to stay on our side of the border. Mark yer scent, and avoid sunningrocks. ThunderClan has them, fer now." The RiverClan leader spoke to those that had followed him. The border patrol carried on toward the ThunderClan border, and was careful to remain on the RiverClan side. There would be no trespassing that day if Tigerstar could help it.

[align=center][align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height:13px;"]Sunningrocks was.. a complicated matter. In Panthercry's life, she'd seen it flop back and forth, like a dying fish. For one, ThunderClan couldn't hunt with it. For the other, it was a matter of pride now. As she wandered the border, she stopped as she noticed a RiverClan patrol. She was well hidden with her dark fur, but she made no attempt to hide herself as they appeared. She was on her territory, and she had no quarrel with them - especially since the leader was with them. Padding to a tree, Panthercry made a point to carefully remark the border, a silent warning. Not that it matters..

[align=center][div style="width: 400px; font-size: 9pt; font-family: arial; text-align:justify; "]"Got it!" Cherryspark would exclaim after Tigerstar's order, bounding forward ahead of the others  all the while keeping at least a couple of tail-lengths between himself and the border. The young warrior's fur bristled on end with his excitement, at not only accomanying other warriors on his first patrol, but having the leader himself with them.
"Do you think we'll see any Thunderclanners?" Face full of excitement, he looked to the others with wide eyes. "That would be so great," He said, glancing towards the border as his ears perked like he was expecting to see something. He'd love to catch a least one glimpse before any of the other new warriors see them at their first gathering. His eyes scanned the division, squinting for any sudden movements. "Maybe we could say hi or something! If I see any I'll just say, 'No harm here, just remarking our borders.'"

It reflects in both his name and that dingy collar he still keeps back at camp. He wasn’t really supposed to be at border patrol, no, unaware that Panthercry lingered not too far from where he stood. Right now, he has only only one goal in mind: catching his first prey. He’s never been too good at watching where he was going, his attention span the same as a goldfish, therefore he’s wandering dangerously close to the territory that crosses between Riverclan and Thunderclan as he’s nearing towards a scent that he thought was a mouse.

Nostrils flared as he scented the atmosphere surrounding him, taking in the earthen scent of ThunderClan that permeated the dancing air circulating around his mighty figure. There was a freshness to the border, and he realized it had been marked recently. That was a shame, he thought to himself, it meant his neighbors weren't dead yet. He'd amend that one day, if they troubled him enough. Tigerstar wasn't opposed to killing in battle, if it came down to a war over sunningrocks, he'd be sure to leave a nasty bite. The leader was drawn out of his thoughts by Cherryspark, excited and exuberant. Tigerstar recognized that he was like that sometimes himself.
"We might." The feline responded brightly, his tail tip curling through the humid, heated air behind him. Would it be great to see a ThunderClanner or two? He supposed it would be a good way to assess their strength. Tigerstar didn't see many border patrols from ThunderClan, and he often wondered what they were up to. Quiet was the border between clans. One day, that would change in a bloody flash. A scent hit his nose, drowning out Cherryspark's next words. Then the sound of pawsteps accompanied the smell, and the leader twitched one tattered ear as a cat finally padded into view, drawing closer with a dangerous absentmindedness, tracking a scent, it would seem. " Mind yerself." Tigerstar spoke up sharply, directing his voice toward Parker.

i fall asleep Stonestar had long ago learned about the complicated history between Thunderclan and Riverclan, especially when it came to the tensions over Sunningrocks. He'd never quite understood the hostility that Fogstar had described, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to protect Thunderclan if Riverclan threatened them. He had no interest in instigating violence, but he would definitely had everyone fight back if something happened. He needed to make sure that everybody still knew that Thunderclan was strong, even with a new leader, and they wouldn't get pushed around.
He'd been following Parker for a little while now, silent and curious as to what the other was doing. He hadn't done much with his new apprentice yet, but that was mainly just because he was still trying to figure out what kind of learning style he needed to use for the former kittypet. When he had noticed the younger male getting close to the border, he frowned and sped up a bit, emerging from the shadows and shooting a glare at Tigerstar. As his long and fluffy tail thrashed behind him, the stone grey male rumbled softly, in a warning tone, "Mind yourself Tigerstar. And your own warriors. I'm perfectly capable of dealing with my apprentice myself. You just sort about your own business."
Focusing his attention then on Parker, he lowered his voice and explained, not wanting Tigerstar to know that Parker wasn't really a clan cat, "This is the Thunderclan and Riverclan border. Smell that awful fishy scent? That's what tells us where it is. It's generally frowned upon to cross it unless it's for diplomatic reasons."

The rustling of the foliage alerted him of another cat, sturdy and short with bluish fur, Tigerstar immediately recognized the tom as Stonestar, ThunderClan's newest leader. At first he was willing to be friendly, his lips curling at the sides with a small smile, dimpling his scarred, ruined cheeks. Then he noticed the glare, and light green yellow eyes shot toward the huge RiverClanner's broad shouldered, muscular features, dangerous optics of blistering gold holding the gaze with a fearsome intensity. What a fool, he internally laughed. The words that tumbled past Stonestar's mouth added fuel to the fire, but the grin remained, plastered across Tigerstar's toothy expression, even as claws, razor tipped talons with a pearly reflective exterior curled and coiled into the soft soil beneath his large, rounded paws.
"I'm sorry, what was that? I couldn't hear anything over the sound of yer foolishness. Talkin' to me like that, hah!" He shot back smoothly, a low chuckle dripping past lethal incisors, strong jaws closing shut with an exaggerated snap. He'd enjoy this. "I ought to skin you alive, use yer pelt to warm me den, oh but first, yer apprentice, was it? How about I chew off his little paws, snap them off like twigs, if you will, and decorate me camp with them. They'll sit nicely with the seashells, don't ya think, Cherryspark?" Tigerstar addressed the warrior that had accompanied him in a playful voice, side eyeing the other feline before his focus returned and leveled upon Stonestar. "Of course, you could just say that yer sorry fer the little warning, unnecessary, might I add. I'd, of course, be kind enough to drop all thought of my playful intentions."
Then his pupils, coals swathed in burning, explosive flame, drifted back toward Parker. "Yes, but, but, but but but, being frowned upon can be worth it, if it means teachin' some-cat a lesson in respect." The smile that slithered across his face was devious and venomous, like the grin of a devil's serpent. "Oh, I'm just kiddin' with the lot of ya, heh. At least, I think I am. Maybe not. Who can say? My mind is beyond even me sometimes!" It was true enough, and he spoke with a casualness as if he were talking about the weather, a small jolt of laughter drifting past his barbed tongue. The absurd stattements might as well have been a joke to the RiverClan leader. He wasn't taking the situation as seriously as one might think. He was simply having a bit of fun, and in Tigerstar's eyes, there was nothing wrong with that. "Oh, and that awful fishy stench? Oh yes, yer mentor is right, better remember that, one day it'll be all over sunningrocks, heh heh." One thing was certain by the darkness in his tone, that statement hadn't been a joke. ThunderClan would be safe for awhile yet, but one day, one day....

[align=center][align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height:13px;"]It was pretty obvious to Panthercry that Tigerstar was.. unhinged. Even as a deputy, it made Panthercry uneasy to see him during gatherings. He just didn't make sense, not like other cats. How had he been chosen? He was such a wild card, and the things he said.. if he acted on anything he joked about, StarClan would have no place for him. She knew that, she knew that fervently in her heart.
She moved swiftly towards the other cats, yellow eyes not taking her eyes off the two RiverClan warriors for a second. There, three against two. Now, at least if anything happened, there'd be two competent fighters for Thunderclan. "Mmm, I'd recognize the smell of minnow anywhere." Panthercry said, her voice light as she focused on the apprentice, sizing the cat up. Tigerstar might take two cats, but the apprentice... "Lets pray to StarClan that those nasty things you just said are just jokes." The large black cat flicked an ear. "Otherwise, StarClan might have a few things in store for you."
