can someone tell me what exactly happened when the groups disbanded?? like what suddenly made them disband + how fast did the groups pack their shit up and leave
bc i'm writing a joining and i have to know; my character was left behind but i can't find the disaster that made all of them randomly go into anarchy?

Basically there was a nuclear war and the effects drove the animals to the mountain. There was no one exact event that I'm aware of, just that the war hit an end and the radiation was high enough that the lands outside of this area were incredibly toxic and that was the area that had the lowest levels. I think the plot kickoff post probably describes it best.

my character was left behind, so if he had to live in the radiation for a while, what do you think the effects would be? undernourishment and common (if not constant) illness?

HMM how long are you going with him having been in irradiated lands? Because animals likely moved due to sickness and such, which is already a sign of radiation sickness. It really depends on how bad it would have gotten tbh because the symptoms are nausea/vomiting as the earliest sign, then they'll feel better before symptoms come back if it's bad enough for that. Spontaneous bleeding, bloody diarrhea, something that can look like severe sunburn, hair loss, fatigue, mouth ulcers, and an increased risk of infections.

So if he was there for long, I would say malnourishment and nausea/vomiting at the very least. TBH it's not really a good prognosis if he's been there all this time? I would definitely say he managed to find an area that had much lower levels of radiation.

yeah i was planning on having him immediately start travelling, because there would be no prey in the areas he was trying to live in + he'd be looking for his family—eventually he'd have gone up pretty far into the mountains and the radiation's effects would be a lot less bad, but after a few days of travelling in it before getting up into the mountains he'd definitely have some symptoms

what i've currently got is hair loss, weight loss, he tires really easily, he constantly feels sick / is sick, he struggles to hold down meals and he's having a lot of difficulty managing his body temperature, do you think that would be enough?

side note, if he's really fucked up with radiation, how can he join a group without spreading that radiation? i'm probably looking for some crazy supernatural healing thing, not realism—is there some power that can be used on him to clean him of radiation so that he can recover?

I could bring this up if you'd like more clarification but I think a neutral mutation would be able to do something like that just fine tbh. We don't have any powers that directly influence rate of healing, but considering that the radiation that created the current WNR universe contributes heavily to power development, I think that would work? Though realistically radiation would mostly be spread by body fluids so if he avoids that kind of contact it should be alright.

I'd appreciate if you brought it up! he's ingested sick prey and has been living in radiation for a while obviously, so he's very, very sick. I'm not sure how he can fully remove all radiation from his internal organs and his fur without just killing off the body, but I really don't want to do that considering this character is meant to be played mostly with realism, aside from being a werewolf, so when he dies, he dies whoops
I just need something someone else can do to him, because clearly he can't heal himself at this point, if you get where I'm coming from
