how to make adoptions ~interesting~

tbh like im kinda chill, as long as they dont do something wILDLY OUT OF CHARACTER then i wont step in tbh
like if bart over here randomly killed a child that would not be ok yknow?? theyre my characters from my story but they were also technically background characters, so new experiences would be completely up to the adopter, just. their old experiences shaped them a certain way and i'd want to guide people along that path, if that makes sense?

I'm a free-willy spirit when it comes to adoptions. Doesn't have an interesting backstory/plot? Fine with me. Appearances? Any, really, I don't care. HPR? Doesn't matter. Family? Doesn't matter if they're in a family or not.
