NEW GROUP plotting thread?? /

Hey folks, it's me Moria. This whole idea is rather bare-bones (haha, get it?), so stick with me. I'll propose the idea IC once we've really solidified a working concept, so I'd love to hear what you guys think/who'd get behind it here! (:

So, there's two big parts of this idea. The first one is the idea that this group, and the members of it, are not so interested in what remains of the natural world. Instead, they are intrigued with the growing amounts of deformed animals, robotic technology, and general "abnormalities" going on in the world today. The planet is changing, and they embrace it-- it's easier to adapt than trying to live normally out there.

They spend a lot of time attempting to research these things, and while they don't get very far being animals, what they DO manage to find out they will always use for the benefit of their society.

The other major part is that this is a full-fledged democratic commune. While there will always be a figurehead or two who announces things and "represents" the group against others, the power of this individual is negligible. All the power belongs to the people. They will vote for or against propositions brought up by the central governing body. Anybody in the group can present a rule or order, and it will be voted upon.

And before you ask, yes, this DOES enable the "leader" or figurehead character to go off the books-- fudge the data, go authoritarian, etc. Things that violate the rights of the people. But that's just part of the fun, and it would be up to the people to reclaim their commune if they want, or let the dictator make a mess of the place. The RP options are pretty expansive.

Because of these simple rights and dignities granted to the citizens of the group, there's a good chance they'd regards themselves as much more advanced and developed compared to the other groups, but still help them out if needed. They are not a particularly violent group, but seeing other tyrants treating their people badly could very easily stir up a revolutionary spirit amongst the citizens, causing them to act.

What do you all think?? I havent thought much about the territory or aesthetics (even the name, lmao) of the place, so that's all up in the air!

Tracking because this concept is rlly unique!!

honestly i like the idea of them looking down on everybody else as wild and just stupid - like these uber intelligent people just see the way the others are living and just feel scorn. it provides a lot of area for conflict that the previous groups were lacking, and so does the democratic nature, considering how i doubt the rest of the groups would support it with their leaders n' shit ruling, not the community as a whole, if that makes sense c:

I'm loving this idea, Moria!

I'm afraid I can't really contribute any ideas at the moment, but I will try to think of something!
