— although richard had intentions to leave this place someday, he still wanted to leave a small mark around these parts before he left. let him be known as the guy who put effort into whatever it was he did. even if it was something as simple as pulling some strings to have a get-together over hot chocolates in the cafe. he looked around as people filtered in, busying themselves over at the little make-your-own hot cocoa bar - with chocolates, candy canes, and other food items to create your own cup of hot chocolate. some already having gotten themselves a cup of hot chocolate and a seat, chattering among themselves. the corners of his lips lifted slightly into a hint of a smile.
putting together such a small, laidback event hadn’t been too tedious at all. maybe that was why diplomacy was his calling in this group; event planning was something that came easy to him. and hey, if he was diplomacy, he might as well start acting like it. he glanced over to one side as someone settled down next to him, taking a sip out of his own cup before he observed, “hot cocoa usually isn’t my thing. but this,” he gestured to the growing crowd of people. he nodded to himself before he shrugged, concluding, “this is nice.”
