"speech" 'thought' text

The sturdily built man was not far behind, or perhaps he'd already been there, watching. Mike spent a good deal of his time watching, lurking was perhaps a better word for it since his removal from power. Not that he really cared all that much for the power which he had been saddled with after Salem's disappearance. The soldier honestly didn't care all that much for the new leadership, but he wasn't about to say anything in regards to it. He'd much rather observe.

Perhaps this little experiment would fail, perhaps the new leaders would meet with resistance to change. Having spent many years in the military he knew how to drill basics into people, like follow the damn rules. He supposed his presence here was to remind those members of the Badlands from his time as the leader, that he'd "bowed" to the new regime, and that they should too.

He stood a few meters from the growing group. There wasn't a need to crowd now was there. Plus he liked his vantage point. It was easier to watch all the expressions at once. So Teddy knew this confident young woman? Truthfully he didn't care for her attitude, though he had to admit it was pretty good for the group she was entering.

Was she here to join? Here to pick a fight? Here to announce that a one night stand had produced a child, and that Theodore was the father? All options were viable.

She simply rolled her eyes at the comment about her adittude, like this one woman's opinion would make her change it. God no, it had gotten so much for her there was no point in changing it. Why change something that could more or less get you spoiled? Though before she could open her mouth to say anything in regards to what the unknown woman had said - who she was looking for arrived as if on cue.

Perfect timing.

"Ciao, Orsacchiotto" the woman greeted with a grin of her own, clearly happy to see him as would make sense since she had arrived asking for him. Though the arrival of the silent stranger was also noted - Penny wasn't the least bit intimidated as she should be. She deserved a grand welcome.

Now...who to respond to first? The bat was swung from it's position behind her neck to point towards Juliette slightly, as to indicate who she was going to speak to "My name is Penelope Rossi, I go by Penny." her business would not be stated though, instead the bat was put in Teddy's direction "I heard from some sources someone was here - and well, you know I've never liked the snow - so I decided to see if my sources were true." she started "And as always, they are. But other than that I was hoping to join. Flintlock can get pretty fuckin' cold and it's a damn lot warmer here."

And with her mouthful of an explanation done, she held her bat over her shoulder and looked between the three who came to greet her. What could she say? She wanted to be with people she knew - not to mention certain people were definitely partly to blame for the adittude she was commented for.

This was as much of a change of scenery as she could possibly get. From the snowy cold mountains to a group not far from a beach, practically white haired blonde wandered into the territory of The Badlands. With a metal bat in her hand and a bag over her shoulder, she ventured further until coming upon a town. Yeah, well, this would definitely be the best place to run into people. And so, had rumors be true, this would be the best place to find who she was looking for.

Though any cause of alarm she may cause was no surprise either. Should anyone had approach her, she simply stopped and put her bat behind her neck, with one hand on the grip and the other resting on the barrel. The one on the barrel simply raised to show her palm, though the girl herself looked rather amused "Save your speech for someone who cares." she started to whatever poor npc had been blessed with confronting her.

"Where's Teddy?"

[align=center][div style="width: 350px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]juliette wasn’t new to different scenery changes. hell, she had seen and joined way more groups in the last two years of her life than she had seen around her home in the first twenty-five years before she left her family. though the takeover was recent, the badlands wasn’t a new place to her, it had actually been one of the first groups she joined after leaving. there was the sense of familiarity still lingering there, but after all of the leaders it had been through, there was that start of a new beginning that left this old place feeling new.

after laying the twins down, juliette had decided to make a quick walk around to check on things when she heard a new voice which was quick to pull her attention. her eyebrows furrowed together as she approached the newcomer and npc, her lips pursed slightly as she stopped by them. she was quiet for a moment as the stranger finished, asking where teddy was. juliette cleared her throat, her eyebrows raising as she looked towards her. "before you go around requesting things, you might wanna work on your attitude a bit more, love."

"i'll give you a second try on introducing yourself and stating your business," juliette paused briefly, her lips curling into a somewhat forced smile. "then we'll talk about finding teddy for you. how's that sound?"

Growing up with nothing to his name, this lap of luxury that he’d stumbled upon was quite frankly a dream come true. Bless his grossly ambitious endeavours to get him to where he was today! Slowly yet surely, he was building his dream up to where he wanted to be - a slice of home and more right here in The Badlands.

Slowly, the dream was coming together.

With word that he was wanted in town, Teddy didn’t hesitate before wandering out of the hotel and down the streets in order to locate Juliette and the newcomer. And, much to his surprise, it was none other than Penelope Rossi, daughter of a wealthy Italian mobster that Teddy had schmoozed with frequently over the years. ❝ Penny! ❞ He exclaimed with a charming grin sprawled widely across his lips. He walked over until he stopped beside Juliette, ❝ Fancy seeing you here. What brings you to The Badlands? ❞
