The celebration of the newlywedded couple was coming to a close, people leaving in pairs or alone some leaving with another they'd surely spend the night with. There were very few people left in the casino, most had already left but among the stragglers was the former Flintlocker.

She felt slightly out of place throughout the night, but at the same time...felt like she fit in. Hearing the change of song, she stood up, originally intending to leave. But as the song played on she changed her mind, thus moving from her spot in the now mainly empty casino and over to a familiar face who also was one of the final few in the casino. "Come on, get up." she told him, gently tugging on his hand until she was able to lead him out on the now empty area that served as a dance floor.

"C'mon tough guy, I know you dance" she teased, positioning his hands before taking his, her other hand on his chest as she began to slow dance to the music that had started. Eventually resting her head on Teddy's chest and smiling to herself "I missed you so much, amore mio" she said softly, glancing up at the other "Haven't gotten into trouble without me, have you?"

The celebration had been colourful and invigorating, Teddy spending a lot of the night schmoozing with potential business partners or lounging in the company of beautiful women. But now he sat in silence. The comfortable buzz of enjoyment still remained, head tipped back ever-so-slightly as he observed the last remaining partygoers beginning to head off in pairs. Tonight, he’d go back to his room alone.

❝ Come on, get up. ❞ A familiar voice spoke as Penny then stepped into his line of vision. Teddy looked up to her, a closed lip smile slowly tugging at the corners of his lips before he finished off the last of his drink and left the glass on the table. ❝ Hmm- ❞ He scrunched his nose up in a half-hearted defiance before he took her hand and stood up. ❝ Only because it’s you who’s asking. ❞

It was a great thing about Teddy, the way they always felt as if they were the only person in the world when he lay his eyes upon them. He turned to face her as they reached the dance floor, Teddy lowering his hand to place on her waist before they began to peacefully dance. They lingered in the moment quietly for a short while, Penny resting her head upon his chest before she glanced up at him. ❝ Ditto. ❞ He didn’t need to say much more as he peered back down at her, only beginning to smile evasively as she continued. ❝ Trouble? Do I look like a man who gets into trouble? ❞ He questioned lightheartedly, hand sliding to rest on the small of her back.

Of course he'd gotten into trouble many a time - he just knew well to save face.

"Only because it's me? Well, I'm glad I have you trained so well" she teased, a small grin appeared on her face when she replied. Of course, that would be why. No other reason was ever possible. It was because she had him trained so well - wrapped around her finger. Not of any more obvious reason.

Then they were dancing. God, she certainly missed being with him, not that she hated being in Flintlock. But there was a huge difference between the company she kept there and Teddy. What was it? That wasn't something she knew. Maybe the familiarity, or the fact that her and Teddy were practically partners in crime. Though with their families - was that a surprise?

A smile appeared on her face out of the amusement to this response to her question "With me? All the time, Teddy." she hummed "Even if we can get out of it." she added on afterwards. The hand on his chest moved to rest on his back - she didn't need a hand there if she was against his chest after all.

"Do me a favor, will you?" she asked, glancing up to him again "Smile more, for me at least. I adore it." especially if she was the one to cause it.
