Bluestem was alright thus far, but she wasn't someone that settled easily, let alone in one place. It was one of the many reasons she had decided to leave home for a little while, and now it was driving her to find a second place to give her attention. Lucky them.

Unlike with the last two places she had been, she actually stopped at the border, taking out a cigarette and lighting it. Might as well, since she was giving that whole "patience" thing a go.

— Sel is a very bold, competitive and stubborn person, with a wild side that is shown frequently as well as flirtatious tendencies. She is easily bored and is always on the lookout for adventure, with a spark of curiosity that she hopes will lead to what she seeks: adventure and romance. She seems to not be a very serious person and would rather have fun than be productive, and failing entertainment she can be quite productive and get quite a bit done. She's loud and lacks discipline. While Sel is irresponsible (and oddly bossy) and wild, she is very family-oriented and loves her family dearly. She is usually a cheerful, friendly person but she definitely has a passion for the weird, dark and creepy. She is somewhat vain and egotistical. She has her secrets and one of them is her intelligence and ability to collect information; most dismiss her as a dumb party girl (or something like that) and that's part of her cover, she has her fair share of sins and has to have a way of hiding them, and because she is a good liar and good actress, she succeeds.

Nevertheless, a new face at the border seemed to motivate him to regain some energy.

”Name and business?” The dark haired man asked as he approached, bat swaying gently from his belt as usual as he slowed to a stop. He glanced the newcomer over, not finding her to be an immediate threat, but she had an experienced look to her that told Bane he did not want to get into a quarrel with her. Just the kind of person he wanted joining Los Santos.

Strange how mid twenties had become a warning, as effective as the bright yellow and red of something venomous. Physically in their prime, usually armed to the teeth and often emotionally resolute enough to follow through on their threats — terrible enemies, but useful allies if they could be relied on to stay loyal. In Los Santos, clever minds and sharp claws were imperative, though that was a standard statement most anywhere around these parts: Flintlock had their bears, the Badlands had themselves and Bluestem was far from a safe haven either. When rest wasn't an option, you learned quickly to become dangerous.

Selena reminded him of a big cat, almost. Sleek, confident, not to be trifled with. There was a cockiness that could've been arrogance but also could've been well deserved, and Abd al-Malik wasn't keen on calling her bluff or pushing her to find out which one it was (Wolfsbane seemed about as eager to test the theory as he did).

Tired. She could relate to that, particularly after the events of the last few months. Even recent days, her supposed vacation, had been taxing. She couldn't wait to sit down. Hopefully that'd come soon, as a man was approaching and asking for her information, followed closely by a second. "Sel. I was hoping y'all would let me join for a bit." She looked Bane over, taking in all the little details of the main. Appraising him, trying to determine how much of a threat he might be to her. He was a fair bit taller, with a mean-looking bat hanging from his belt. Damn, that thing must be pretty fucking strong. "Nice belt."

Then she set her appraising gaze on the other man, the one that had stood quietly, looking at her. A clever mind with a cat-like appearance in possession of sharp claws - that sounded like her, alright. Indeed, his observations were all astute, not that she could read his mind. "And your names?"
