- his full name is takumi markus lim. his first name is japanese, meaning 'artisan'; it was his great grandfather's. markus is the name of his god father, a very close family friend.
- he has quite a few nicknames, as his name is easy to pull from. some of them include tak, tik tak, taco meat, taki, and asshole.
- he is 17 years old, almost 18. he was born on may 21st, 2001.
- he was born male and identifies as such. he's not thought much about his sexuality and has always considered himself to be straight.
- takumi was born in his father's home country of singapore - in the city of hougang, to be exact. his parents - an accountant and a vet who'd met soon after his father moved to america - were on vacation there when takumi was born prematurely.
- takumi was the third child born in his family, having an older brother and sister. after his birth, his parents quickly returned to their home in anaheim, california to introduce him to his siblings.
- when takumi was three, his father was killed during an armed robbery. his family was devastated. a few weeks later, his mom bore her fourth and final child, another daughter.
- takumi grew up without a real father figure, but he idolized his older brother. his older siblings were both brilliant - perfect students, outstanding athletes, natural leaders.
- during middle school, he began to feel a sense of inferiority to his older siblings. everyone always gushed about how great they were and held him to their standards, and he felt that he didn't live up to them. he felt that he existed in their shadows. because of this, he was always closest with his younger sister, although they were all very close.
- he started high school going into a severe depressive spiral due to his internalized self-hatred. freshman year was terrible for him. in sophmore year, he slowly began putting himself out there more - he joined the lacrosse team, and later on, he picked up archery. he showed an innate promise in archery, and it's been his passion ever since.
- takumi has a... complex personality. although it's gotten better over time, he still feels that he is the least talented child in his family. to compensate for his insecurity, he puts on a show. he acts stoic and confident, like he thinks he is better than everyone else.
- it takes a very long time for him to trust people, and once they give him a reason not to trust him, it's impossible to get back in.
- simply put, takumi is a grump. he's often pessimistic and in a sour mood. it's a rarity to see him smile unless he's with his sister.
- he has a very short fuse and is prone to aggression. although highly intelligent and a great strategist, when he is embarrassed or insulted, he tends to act before he thinks and becomes very impulsive.
- takumi truly does care about his family and friends. although he may seem aloof, he will do anything to keep them happy and safe.
- he has his own moral code that he's created in his mind and he sticks to without acception. he happens to be very stubborn in general.
- takumi is passionate and determined. he hates taking leisure time and is always striving to improve. he is brilliant in his own sense and loves formulating plans.
- tak is very attached to his bow. he calls it fujin.
- he drives a blue stick shift convertible which is his baby.
- he has a soft spot for dogs and puppies.
- takumi loves food. he eats an insane amount each day and yet never gains weight. additionally, he is a very good cook, which few people know.
- he also enjoys writing poetry in his free time, but that is a secret he'll take to his grave.
- takumi works out a lot, and especially likes to lift when he is stressed.
- he LOVES early 2000's pop, like toxic and hollaback girl. that is another secret he will take to his grave.
