darcy had spent a whole five minutes on her hair that morning. more time then most people would ever bother, but it wasn't as much as usual for her, and that was... well, it had been bothering her all day. the curls were neat, perfect as always, and yet she paused in front of every reflective object to run her fingers through them. again, and again, and again.

she listened with calm features, her left eyebrow quirking just a bit with every erm the man muttered. by the sixth, and apparent final, she wasn't sure it could go any higher. was she in any place to judge speaking habits? not really - she could be a little loud and a little too direct, people generally didn't want to listen to her. they took simple statements and observations as criticism of character, and she was just happy no one was calling for her head on a pike just yet. but still, she'd have thought he'd rehearse it, or write it down, at the very least. she tried to keep her face polite though.

at the last statement, and the inquiry of comments, the young woman cleared her throat. "hydrate, yes, but do try to wash your hands." she'd say, not sure if she was overstepping any boundaries, but figuring someone ought to say it. hydration alone wouldn't keep people well. "and cover your mouth when you cough." another bit of common sense, but this place was male-dense, and her grandmother always said common sense was uncommon in men.

Since he was no public speaker, his hands shook, and he cleared his throat, standing up where Johannes had once made announcements. "Ok... so... erm... Peter and Benjamin are missing, we'll... we'll organize patrols to look for them..." He paused, he was not the best a meetings or announcements, he much preferred talking to the plants or the animals.

"Erm... no promotions, or demotions, I have no clue what they'd be anyways... erm... great work everybody I think... let's just keep the lodge functioning..." He trailed off, how did anyone ever make a meeting? Do a meeting? How?! It seemed more simple when he was watching the person stand up and make announcements. "Umm... people are dropping like flies from being sick... so... erm... hydrate." The dark haired man stuttered. "Erm, yeah... any questions? Comments? Erm... whatever else is supposed to happen in these meetings?" He fiddled with his shirt, and stared at the ground dejectedly.
