they are called the Occultatum Village and this is what I have so far, it isn't completed but once it is it will be in a guide format provides with visuals, etc...
summary;
- a clan that has a cave system and four/three different biomes
- chieftain, shaman, etc... for the ranking system
- they are careful but noble warriors, their tribe/clan is called the Occultatum for a reason for they do not give their exact location to just anyone
- will probably have tribal markings, rite of passage (to warrior or apprenticeship), etc...
- and that's what I have so far
“Main†territory/cave system;
Before entering to what is thought to be the Occultatum’s territory, outsiders will assume that they reside a plentiful forest area which for the most part hides the land that belongs to the Occultatum. Rumor even has it when the northern lights peek through some of the tree canopies it is believed that they usually point the way to the hidden cave. The scent border surrounds a large tree with claw markings to show that they are approaching or getting closer to the true territories, this tree is the totum of the Occultatum. Once you walk a ways from the large tree, a cave can be seen up ahead and there is usually a member of the clan standing guard or often the leader themselves. They will inquire the business of the traveler and only then if they are there for an alliance or joining will they be lead into the caves that have an insane amount of glow worms covering the cave walls that is used as a form of seeing for those with partially good eyesight. There is only one tunnel at the beginning but once entered there are several cave openings that could lead to anywhere revealing that it's a cave system used by the Occultatum to confuse any of their possible enemies. The joiners are told which cave openings are forbidden or lead to possible danger before being lead to the correct opening, it is the members of the clan to get the joiner acquainted with the cave system and what lies ahead of them. Upon entering, the cave and going through its tunnel they find themselves at the main camp of the Occultatum. A rainforest.
Rainforest Biome/Main camp;
The rainforest like any other is covered with a lush amount of plants and forestry which makes a great place to stay hidden from unwanted attention. There is a path that are covered by two large leaves but once pushed aside, it reveals a clear path that should be taken until they reach a bridge held by two strong trees. If one were to look down from the bridge when they were midway, they would realize that the fall was deadly and encourage the joiner to be careful along the way. Further along the bridge they are faced with more plantation before they are able to see a few tree houses that are connected together by bridges. In the middle of these houses on the ground are cabins and a temple up ahead covered with vines and other plants sprouting from it. At the top of the temple, there is a large tree that is used as the leader's headquarters. Although upon entering, there are several entrances to go and the walls around these entrances are covered by pawprints left by past clanmates/ancestors. One of the entrances lead to a clearing that has the ground separated properly by a stream filled with lily pads and some flowers though further there is this “podium†that the leader stands upon to make announcements or hold meetings. The tree is decorated by several beads, pawprints, and clawmarks of the past chieftains. Eventually the current chieftain when made the leader of the clan, they put their mark on the tree.
Write the dens for the HPs, mothers/kittens, and the elderly.
Desert Biome;
The desert biome has interesting features to it and is the one of the many biomes that belong to the Occultatum members that reside there, who have adapted to thrive in this type of habitat. The biome has an oasis where the water source is found surrounded by canyons and it is often used as a camp that usually have an opening that leads to a bit of a cave system for the Occultatum to use as a home, this isn't used as the main camp much due to the heat but it's usually used as a last resort or a place to retreat after a disastrous attack in their main camp. Around the said oasis are lush plants and trees that provide shade for the animals there, a cascade of water comes down from part of the canyon that eventually drops and dips into the pool below. The sands are soft browns, beiges, and with a bit of reddish streaks giving it that warm appearance although, it is best not to always be on the sand since it can become quite warm in the biome. Past the Oasis, farther along is a Gorge that has plentiful water but it isn't frequently used or visited by the animals of the land, it has the name of Death Gorge due to the possibility of the waters holding dangers such as crocodiles, snakes, and it being difficult to climb back up again but, it can be achieved even if it proves to be hard. It's basically difficult for the young, the sick/injured, elderly to get out without the assistance of a fellow clanmate. This is usually the forbidden part of their territory since the Chieftain wouldn't want their clanmates being harmed nor trapped in the gorge especially if they are aware of what could possibly happen if they didn't keep a watchful on. Aside from the gorge, the rest of the territory is dotted with spread out plants, rocks, and a few palm trees that provide shade for the prey of the land and the members whenever they decide to visit the desert biome. During the night, everything is less humid and more cold though it is better for hunting for prey if it is scarce in the other biomes.
