There was a lot going on right now. Promotions, thank god--he needed the help. The gathering was coming up. So many new people--Johannes had a lot to say. And it was all running around in his head, all jumbled and confused.
That was why he had a stack of notes in front of him. The last meeting, he'd tried to avoid using them, and he'd succeeded, but he knew that would end in disaster if he did the same today. So here he was, reading off his cards and trying to refresh his memory before everyone gathered.
"Okay. Um--so, this is a first for a lot of you--we've had a lot of...new people, lately. I want to start keeping records of who lives here. That's being taken care of here." He paused, running his thumb down the notes, then drew in a breath. "Right. I've been--meaning to promote some people for a while now." He took a shaky breath, glancing over everyone who'd gathered. Right. "Okay, first of all. Daesung. I'm promoting you to Coordinator. You're extremely helpful, and have a lot of good...insight." He cleared his throat--complimenting was so awkward. She had the job. Wasn't that good enough? "And, uh--Gray. You're--one of the best hunters. I'd like you to be one of our Providers. " He glanced over everyone else. There was one other promotion--or at least, recognition, that he'd like to make. It wasn't...exactly suited to any of their 'positions', but he didn't think it made sense to add it as one, yet. "Moksha. As I've learned, you...have experience. With mining. Tunneling. That sort of...area. Of expertise. I'd like you to...well, we're going to have to use that mine. It's a resource. And when it comes to that--no sense in. In relying on someone who doesn't know...what--what they're doing. Anything--anything coming up with, with the mine--you're the go-to." He cleared his throat, then glanced across. Narin had shown promise lately, and he was tempted to...do something. But Gray's words had been stuck in his head all day, and he still felt that wariness.
"Right. Lastly--For those new here. We're working on getting a gathering together. Something the other groups can attend. We're going to have food, we're going to be hosting some...games. I think. And--if you have any suggestions, go [b]here."[/b]

Hmm, this looked to be a meeting about promotions; interesting, considering there hadn't been any sort of promotions since she first joined. Narin listened quietly, not judging his choices for promotions. Gray was a decent hunter and the kid could take care of himself, Moksha hadn't really gotten a certain rank but at least had gotten some acknowledgement and Daesung seemed nice enough even though Narin hadn't seen much of her until the recent influx of people.
"Got it, boss." Narin commented as she studied her nails. She'd caught his glances, the suspicion radiating off of him, and though she deserved that sort of treatment it still hurt a little. Whatever, she wasn't in any position to confront him about whatever Gray had told him.
Six lingered in the background, her half mask affixed to her face as usual while she listened from the shadows - simply crossing or uncross ing her arms sporadically as she tried to fight down any unease in being in a probably crowded room - still she nodded to herself, she'd go join the tour.

[align=center][size=8pt]Moksha was around, generally. Calum was super excited for the meeting today and had dragged him out to listen. Of course, when he heard his own name, that had been more of a surprise than anything. A couple other people had just gotten promotions; was Johannes actually giving him one? Oh. No he wasn't. Rolling his eyes, Moksha turned and walked out, leaving Calum to look rather upset.
Why hadn't Moksha gotten an actual promotion? Moksha was good at mining and factory stuff, and sure Calum was glad that Johannes had mentioned Moksha's talents, but Moksha wasn't the kind to hold up his new badge and say 'oh shiny' when it was a piece of coated plastic. Cal knew that was nothing to Moksha, and that Moksha probably felt like Johannes was trying to make things better with cheap tactics like mentioning him or something. Calum, honestly, was really happy to see Moksha got announced for something but... he didn't want Moksha made at Johannes. Walking up to the front of the crowd, Calum gave a clear of his throat and looked at Joh. "C-can I talk to you real quick?" He kind of shifted his weight on his heels, looking a bit fidgety.
Johannes wasn't sure he wanted to talk to Calum. The kid still gave him shivers, and he wasn't sure why. There was just something...strangely familiar about him; but that wasn't here nor there, really. He sighed, and nodded, biting his lip. Probably about Moksha. "In private." He told the guy.

To Gray, everything that Johannes said made sense. Perhaps more could have been mentioned, but honestly he was more startled by his own promotion to really think about it. A Provider? Sure, it made sense for him, but he didn't really... want that. He didn't want to dedicate everything to taking care of the Lodge, the work he did was too much like what he'd done with the Rivendares and Hansons, but he knew it was because that was what he was good at. Still, maybe it could be a temporary position. "Thanks... uh, I'd like to train to be a Guardian, though." Fighting was his real passion, he just wasn't very good at it yet.

He was... kinda surprised that Joh was alright with it. They had plenty of fighters already, after all, and not too many people seemed to pay much mind to the food, unless it was just for them. But the Lodge overall? Sure, Gray had mostly been hunting for himself lately, but with the growing numbers, he couldn't not bring something back for the others. Throwing a pissy fit wasn't appropriate anymore, not for what had happened in the mine. That didn't mean it wouldn't happen again if it came up, but there were too many people - kids that likely couldn't hunt as well as him - that needed to eat and hadn't done anything to make him be a dick to them. "Thanks."
