He would have felt horrible if he had somehow aided in the death or injury of the little creature.

Reap? That was a new nickname, which was quite the surprise. It was just a shortening of his commonly used alias, so it was a bit of a shock that it was new to him. But he didn't mind it either way, so he didn't comment on it, instead choosing to reply to her question. "it's a rabbit kit. His name is armand." his reply to the younger female was swift, though not impatient or hurried in any way. Rather than wishing to get this conversation over eith, he wished to drag it out. He had no qualms with her, and if she had no qualms with him, it shouldn't take them long to get to know each other.

The next to approach was jack, making fun of gabriel as usual. "shut up," he dully snapped, though the action was as halfhearted as ever. He didn't actually mean it, of course. "you'd do the exact same thing if you saw him." with that, he relaxed the formation of his hands, allowing the blue dutch to sit on his open palms. "look at him and tell me you don't want to keep him."

Johannes seemed somewhat surprised to think that gabriel liked rabbits, so the man nodded plainly, his voice dropping to a volume slightly below average as he spoke, stroking thr kit's back with a large, gentle finger. "of course. I like almost all animals. How about you?" he dragged his gaze away from the blue and white bunny in order to make eye contact with the leader, attempting to show a bit of respect despite the fact that gabriel believed he was too young to be leading.

"sure, its cute, but id much rather just keep you." said the white haired man, leaning down slightly to look a bit closer at the bunny. it was sort of cute, but he didn't like anything that had ears that big. he was more of a reptile person. you know, snakes, lizards.. sometimes amphibians like frogs.

[align=center][div style="width:450px;text-align:justify;margin-top:10px;font-size:8pt;font-family:verdana;text-transform:lowercase"]the man had finally gotten curious about the rabbits in the lodge, so there he was in front of one of the cages, staring wide-eyed at one of the barely-weaned litters of rabbits. they were all cute, in his opinion, but one of the young rabbits caught his eye. a blue dutch-patterned rabbit kit, around six weeks old by the looks of it, and the scrawniest one in the nest. that one would more than likely be considered useless and unbreedable. it was quite obviously the runt of the litter, and wouldn't be good to breed with when flintlock lodge wanted nice plump rabbits for food. he opened the door to the cage and gently wrapped his hand around the subtly squirming creature, removing it from the cage before shutting the door once more and smiling down at it. there was no way he wasn't keeping the little thing.

the name for the mammal came to him easily. a spanish name meaning soldier was obviously one of the first things to pop into his head, and a smile quirked the corners of his mouth. "i'll call you armand. you're going to be a fighter, pequeño," he murmured to the blue and white bunny. the poor thing was so small, even at six weeks old, that it fit easily into the palm of his hand. he gently cradled the newly-named armand to his chest, moving slowly back towards the stairs to leave the room, sort of hoping no one would spot him with the rabbit. he wasn't sure what rules were in place regarding the rabbits, so for all he knew he could have just shoplifted a bunny.

How the hell was she going to properly feed it? It was cold out and hardly any vegetation growing. She supposed she could forage... Fuck. Daesung's jaws parted in a yawn, rubbing her eye beneath her curtain of hair as she drowsily exited her room and began to descend down the stairs. But, she almost ran into Reaper, startling her into a more fully awake state. "Oh, mornin' Reap. What'cha got there?" she mumbled, her words slightly slurred with a bit of her accent peaking through.
