WELCOME TO THE INSIGNIA
INTRODUCTION welcome to the insignia, a navy based clan residing on a battleship on the coast. a fierce anticlan, the insignia has little morals and encourages captures. they have a strict religion based on greek mythology and tend to be suspicious of those who do not follow their religion. if you want to join, simply make a thread in the loner lands and leave the link here with the hp needed form!
TERRITORY
the insignia resides on a large battleship. the admiral has the largest of the single creature cabins, however the larger cabins are for the more sociable. decorated with bunks and each having a chest to keep their belongings. of clurse, if that is uncomfortable, there are some double cabins for couples, slightly larger family cabins, or even rather tiny single member cabins for those who are jnckmfortable sharing. high positions have larger cabins that can accommodate family members.

off of the boat is a large beach and then a dense, humid jungle. the borders are completely bare of any life, as grass has been stripped away and the borders lined with bones. back within the jungle, there is also a small, half destroyed temple that the pythia will lead worship in.
RELIGION
the insignia has a very strict religion. lf ckurse, you are not required to believe in it, however it will definitely bring on scrutiny if you do not believe so. the group follows greek mythology, mostly worshipping poseidon, hera, zeus, hades, demeter, ares, hestia and athena. also once a week, a meeting will be held by the pythia, the admiral if there is not a pythia, to sacrifice prey and plants to the gods.
HIGH POSITIONS
admiral the leader of the clan. the admiral can do basically whatever they want. they hold meetings once a week, can promote or demote anyone they like, accept invitations or alliances, and lead raids.

captain the deputy. they can hold meetings and promote or demote only with special permission. they can accept invitations and lead raids.

physician the medic of the clan, they heal others.

physician trainee a shp training to be physician.

pythia the religious leader of the clan. they are responsible for hosting weekly sacrifices, of prey, plants, or even prisoners. they are one of the most espectable pksitions of the clan and although they used to only ever be female, that has changed.

lieutenant lieutenants are in charge of ensigns. they specialize in internal affaits or external affairs and are known for doing a lot of captures. they are assistant deputies as well.

ensign ensigns work under lieutenants. they specialize in internal affairs (welcoming joiners, planning events) or external affairs (war or diplomacy)

warrant officer a stepping stone high position. they are mainly being tested out for higher rankings.

normal positions are sailors, trainees, and children. there is not a specific name for queens.
RULES

1. the admiral's word is law.
2. r*pe of enemies, allies, or neutrals will result in immediate exile
3. kits are allowed to be captured, however torture is not allowed unless you have permission from the admiral
4. respect the high positions. talking back can result in demotion to a trainee.
5. do not attempt to free, date, or have children with any prisoners. if you do, you and any resulting children will all be prisoners.

regarding the greek mythology beliefs, is there any specifics about certain gods, like ares being preferred perhaps for his notorious brutality over athena's tactical approach? are there any gods that are shunned? do people prefer to believe in the titans (gaia and cronus) or the olympians (zeus' reign)?

just curious because it could lead to some plot conflicts/devices c:

id say thwt that is definitely uo to the characters.the gkds that are mainly wkrshipped willd efinitely change as the insignia goes through events, like maybe during a war they add ares to the list. characters are more than welcome to worship the titans, other gods and goddesses, however the main religion that the pythia holds ceremonies fkr would be the olympians, however that coukd always change... and as for gods being shunned not yet, but that coukd always be a fun plot!
