It was really damn weird going from the snowy mountains to someplace that wasn't winter half the year. However, she was grateful for it with her newest companion and addition. Brady was a golden retriever, a puppy golden retriever to be exact and he liked to follow her around when he got to go out with her. Like now, he was following her as she brought him down to the beach where the little pup very eagerly started to dig in the sand.

"Brady, wrong" she corrected and though it took her repeating it before he stopped. Penny gaining his attention by holding a ball in her hand, getting a smile from her before throwing it and watching her little pup take off. "Bring it back, sweet boy" she called, squatting in the sand to meet the puppy who crashed into her.

Knockback, she was now laying in the sand with the pup on her chest, licking her face. The slobbery ball inches from her head as Brady was now more interested in trying to give kisses thinking her pushing away and laughing as playing. She only got him to stop by grabbing him as she got up, holding him like a baby.

"You made me get sand in my hair, you goof. God, you're lucky you're cute."

It wasn’t to say that he necessarily disliked dogs, but he simply didn’t know how to act around them. Growing up, his family never had pets, but he did like feeding the neighbourhood stray cats with what little food he had from home, much to his father’s dismay. With that came a love and appreciation for felines. Their independence and aloof nature was alluring, and it made it all the more satisfying when they’d grow to trust the hand that fed them.

Brady was sweet but certainly energetic. The puppy was quite some difference to his lovely Maia, but of course he was biased in thinking so. His cat was so gentle natured and affectionate, and he was definitely proud to say just how much he spoiled her. In his king sized bed, there was so often a space reserved just for her every night.

Sat on the patio outside of his beachside room, Teddy’s lips twitched into a playful smile at the sight of young Brady barrelling Penny over. He stood up from his chair, walking over to lean against the railing before he called out, ❝ He’s getting bigger ‘n’ stronger with each passing day, huh? ❞ He tipped his chin up and crinkled his nose, watching the excitable dog for a moment before he said, ❝ Should get him a friend one day. ❞
