[div style="width: 425px; margin: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia; color: black"] hi all, this is where i'll post all things for wren! here will be her biography, any active plots, relevant links, etc. without further ado:
tw; mentions of emotional abuse, mentions of mildly violent situations, mentions of blood
wren katherine seaborne was born on february 1, 2018 to an unmarried mother, charlotte seaborne, and an unidentified father. she has an elder brother, victor seaborne. wren and victor grew up in an unstable home, their emotionally unhinged mother often leaving their care to someone else. victor grew up very conflicted, trying to raise himself, clean up his mother's messes, and care for wren. wren grew up very close to her brother. he was there for her when her mother was not, and she relied on him heavily as life in the new world became increasingly difficult when order and structure slowly dissipated.
the seaborne children grew up in a mountainous region with plentiful seas of soft, green grass. wildflowers grew freely, and wren spent many summers making flower crowns for herself and her brother, who wore them with pride, most of the time. when wren was fourteen, electricity became nonexistent everywhere. due to the lack of order around the world and years of bitter resentment towards their mother, victor snatched custody of wren away from charlotte, vowing to raise her properly and ensure her last few years as a minor were as peaceful as possible. a few rocky years went by, victor and wren, much like the rest of the world, struggling to adapt to the new normal and figure out how to get by with what they had. victor worked two manual labor jobs to provide, while wren sold her exquisite flower crowns and other crafty things. after a few years of this and continued harassment from their mother and violent uncle, the two decided to leave their home in search for something more. somewhere that would match their communal values, somewhere that would provide for them in turn for their contributions. the two set their sights on flintlock lodge. victor had a distant, yet close friend there that he wanted to reconnect with, and wren was eager to explore all the new opportunities a new home and a new community would provide for her.
it was quite a journey, but the siblings kept their heads above water by imagining what payoff would be waiting for them after all their hardships. they would have new friends, new values, and someday, new families. but things went wrong. wren knew they must be getting close to flintlock territory because eventually, their warm, grassy terrain became snowy and cruel. they stopped for the night, victor not feeling confident in his abilities to trek the rest of the night to make it by morning. he had been falling ill due to the extended exposure to the bitter cold, so wren was hesitant about the idea of spending even longer without shelter. she could see that her brother was struggling though. she agreed, and they set up camp for the night. in the morning, wren had woken up to a note from her brother stating he was hunting for the day's food and that they should reach the lodge by sundown, at the latest. wren sat up all day, waiting for his return. her stomach howled with hunger, and by the evening, began to cramp. worried, she finally packed up and began to look for any trace of victor. a day and a half of wandering in the woods, and she found pieces of his clothing, his favorite iconic flannel, ripped to shreds. spilled blood stained the near-perfect snow. this scene sent wren into shock. she had no idea where she was, what direction she needed to head in to get to safety, her brother was missing and honestly, probably presumed dead. she had lost everything. so now, only recently, did she finally find her way to the lodge. after five total days wandering without food, shelter, or her brother, wren was injured and malnourished. she was on the brink of death herself until the good people of flintlock lodge took her in and nursed her back to health. now, she vows to make her forever home there so that she can give back to those who saved her life, but more importantly, so she can find her brother.

tw; mentions of mental illnesses and trauma
due to her past and her inability (or unwillingness) to discuss what happened to her in the woods, members of flintlock may view her as hostile or standoffish. in reality, she is very reserved and takes the knowledge of her past very seriously. wren is easily described as selfish, irritable, anxious, overly-emotional, and sometimes even angry or overbearing. these emotions are all rightfully earned with her past traumas, both recent and lifelong. on top of this, she can even sometimes be mean. occasionally, she suffers from bouts of ptsd from her time wandering the woods. she has been known to suffer night terrors, often relating to her mother's mistreatment of her and her brother. there have been a handful of times where her screaming in the night has disturbed others' sleep.
to those who know her well and can separate her from her past, wren is viewed as kind, witty, gentle, compassionate, and loving. she serves flintlock with a fiery passion that she has never known in herself. before she came to the lodge, she didn't know she could care so much about anyone that wasn't her brother. she puts her all into everything she does. she is fiercely loyal to those who have earned her love and respect, and although it can be easy to betray her, you will find a lifelong friend with her.
she has a series of nervous tics to aid in her body's coping and coming to the realization that she is safe and loved. firstly, she picks the skin around her fingers and lips horrendously. she is almost always bleeding, and the worse it gets, the more she picks. it's a vicious cycle that she's currently trying to break. further, she wrings her wrists when she's in any situation that makes her uncomfortable or nervous. she has been known to wring her wrists to the point of rawness that warranted a bandage. this was often anytime her mother popped back into her life after she and victor had been on their own.
