— mickey had come to learn that he much preferred it on land. it wasn’t that he feared the open waters and what all dwelled within it, nor was it because he easily got seasick or motion sickness. for lack of a better explanation, it felt like it was more because of the unfamiliarity of it all. the gentle rocking of the boat, not trusting himself to stand up on the boat without fearing the possibility of losing his balance and falling off. mick couldn’t say he was constantly tempted to jump on and go for a little boat ride. still, the idea of going on a boat trip seemed like one he couldn’t turn down.
guess that was how he found himself sitting in the boat, staring over towards the distance shoreline. his gaze lingered before he decided to lean over to one side, looking down beneath the water’s surface. mick couldn’t see the ocean floor, though the occasional sight of a fish swimming by was enough for his lips to briefly twitch. he leaned back a bit and simply tried to take in the moment and the nice weather.
it was relaxing, admittedly, to be out on the sea. so long as the boat didn’t flip over, mick would go so far as to say it was a great venture out on the sea.
