[align=center][div style="0px; width:450px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 9pt; line-height:13px;"]Ahsoka had no clue where they were going. He hadn't known for days now, and yet they'd kept trudging - but why? What was this all for? They were supposed to all have gathered together by now, by now, his mentor would be back and everything would be back to normal. But instead, here he was - sitting with Vierra on a log, staring out at the sea. Pulling brown wavy curls out of his eyes, he turned a pair of dark eyes to his not-mentor-but-kinda, huffing quietly. "What now?"

What now? Truly, what now? They were supposed to be together, Ahsoka didn't need to be hunting the world, didn't need to be wandering aimlessly in the hope that they would just so happen to run across Ananke. Hope that he was okay, and that he hadn't lost his way, or fallen off some kind of cliff.. Ahsoka needed to stop worrying. He was young, he wasn't supposed to be the one worrying. If anything, he should be the lost one - what happened to the wild exploration of youth?

Clearly, Ahsoka didn't have the energy for that. Also, keeping up with Vierra took enough energy already.

With a sigh, the teenager stood, and gestured to the buildings up ahead. "What were you saying about... finding food? Or at least resting for the night." The boy had a few focuses in his life - the few being food and sleep. After all, he was seventeen. The kid was like a black hole, and the less rations they used the better.

i don't know, socks. ❞ she replied, a slight huff left her lips at the end as she looked out towards the water. ❝ once we find your dear mentor we need to put a bell on him or something, it would save us from another headache like this.

vierra could tell that the seventeen year old was getting bored of the wandering and she couldn't blame him, she would have been too when she was his age. she was even getting a little sick of it herself, truth be told. as much as she wanted to keep going, the tiredness began to set in and she didn't know how much farther she could go for the night, so she nodded when he spoke up again.

yeah, let's go check it out. even if we can't find anything, at least there will be a roof to sleep under for once. ❞ they hadn't been so lucky with coming across any buildings up until today, so it was a pleasant surprise to find the coastal city. vierra got to her feet and started towards it.

//fuck y'all give me muse for

They'd done a lot of traveling in their life. Around four years had been spent being largely nomadic, never lingering anywhere too long. The first two years, with a big group of kids, people got lost. Patrols would go look for them, and sometimes they'd come back successful. Usually the patrols that went looking would be friends of whoever had gone missing; Cat had always kept up, but if they hadn't they wouldn't have had any friends to go look for them.

The latter two years, when they were older, colder, they had been entirely alone. Save for random encounters they might have, the path they walked was a solitary one, and surprisingly enough it was by choice. Susie would have gone with them, if they'd asked. She would have dropped everything to hop out that window, abandon her father and her job, and for what? Some asshole that hadn't spoken to her for months?

The word "yes" hadn't been on their lips when she asked if they were going to ask her to come. Not for a moment. She was their best friend, their rock, their sanity, the only person they'd ever loved (not counting their mother), and for a few minutes long ago, she was almost more than that. Almost. They couldn't trust her, based on their own wild imagination, they couldn't trust her. "Aren't you going to ask me if I'll come with?"

They had only gone to see her to say goodbye, only done that out of respect for their old friendship. They weren't trying to revive it. "No." They'd said, not wasting so much as a breath before exiting back out through her window. The path they'd walked from there to the Badlands was a narrow one, meant only for two feet.

Now they'd need a whole ass road. What with this whole family situation they'd developed, reuniting with their parents, falling in love, adopting a kid... It was downright domestic. This was never what they wanted from their life, but they couldn't deny that they were happy. They wouldn't change a thing.

The fact that they were leading the group that had just a year ago made them a prisoner didn't hurt.

There were two people entering the city. Two people that the NPCs that had alerted Cat didn't recognize. Not one to procrastinate meeting new arrivals, they followed the directions to find a woman and a teenager. Not super a super young one, he looked about the age that seemed to think they had it all figured it out. Emphasis on think. The woman looked to be too young to be his mother, maybe a young aunt? Or unrelated entirely, who knew. "What brings you two to the Badlands?"

APPEARANCE  dress me up and watch me die
⇥ Catalyst is 6'2" tall; they possess a lean and muscular body, one that has a variety of old scars adorning it. One of the easiest to notice is one that stretches down their right cheek. While not a scar, one very notable marking on their chest is the "BL" brand. They have two piercings, one in their tongue and the other in the cartilage of their left ear. They typically dress in dark colors (favoring jackets with some sort of writing on the back), and their hair is black. They're not all dark, however, as they have pale blue eyes that peer out from beneath medium-sized eyebrows.

PERSONALITY  if it feels good, tastes good, it must be mine
⇥ Catalyst is ambitious, with the cunning and ruthlessness to reach their goals by any means necessary. They can be brutal when they feel it is needed, however when it's not they won't bother. They tend to be rather aloof and apathetic to most things and people, with some very rare exceptions. Provided those around them don't cross a few specific lines, they're content to leave them be, though they've been known to take an interest in some people, which seldom has a positive end for whoever their interest is in. They can be manipulative, and will often encourage people to make bad decisions. Those that stick by them will be rewarded, but those that do not will be cast out, as they've been outcast for their entire life and have learned to appreciate loyalty wherever they can find it. Even during the most stressful of situations, they usually keep a firm grip on their temper and keep their calm, though when they do snap and lose their temper, it is uncontrollable. They're remarkably observant, often able to deign much from subtle clues in what people say, how they say it and how they act.

addy never truly knew what it was like to be looking around for a missing third. usually he was the one being kicked out, exiled from a group due to his… rather sneaky past actions. though there were times where he could remember wandering on his own, feeling lost and alone. not knowing where he would stay for the night, or how he was going to survive on his own. he couldn’t relate to losing someone in that sense, but he could relate to being lost. and maybe that made him the slightest bit sympathetic.

at the sight of two newcomers, catalyst already there joining them, he squinted briefly. he almost contemplated not going over; catalyst usually had things in control. however, after another moment’s pause, he ended up sauntering over towards the forming group.

he had come in time to hear catalyst ask them about their business, and addy decided then that he might as well stay quiet on this one. instead he wandered to be by cat’s side, standing just behind them the slightest bit.

LIES A THOUSAND HORRIFYING MEMORIES | | |
Salem would never be the missing third. When he got taken by his brother out to sea, he doubted his parents looked or made an effort to chase them. When he was forcibly integrated into the Argus's crew, he was just another piece in the puzzle; another kid with too much fire in his heart and hands shaking too hard to hold it for longer than a second. When he was captain, he thought if he went missing he'd be searched for. That people would care enough to want to find him.

Yeah, he didn't think that anymore. The stubs where his pinky fingers used to be reminded him of that fact every day.

Salem had gotten notified of the strangers on the territory, and meandered his way over. There was no rush; Addy or Cat would surely already be there, doing their scowling intimidation routine. It was kind of funny, once you realized how far you could push them without them pushing back.

"Why'd I even walk this far if both of you were gonna be here? Ugh." Salem complained as he made his way over, one hand on his gun holster and one dangling as he came to a stop beside Cat's side, opposite of Addy. Wow, they'd make a shitty boyband but they at least had their lineup figured out.
