She had gone to the bar to get away from her brothers. She had made the smart choice of not letting them live with her, but they still were there a lot. So, to get a break she had gone to the bar, getting a drink of water and just sitting there quietly, on her own. She was starting to value her time alone, but now she'd never get it. Because she was stupid.

Paige sat there content with herself, Atlas laying around the barstool she sat upon. That was until blood ran from her nose, down her face, and inches away from the water she had been drinking. She hadn't even noticed until the bartender handed her something to wipe the blood off her face with. She did so and stood up, backing up from the table. Atlas was quick to get up, as by now he was well versed in magically detecting her emotions like dogs seem to be able to do.

She was quick to turn and head out, though she wasn't watching where she was going and ran right smack into someone. She was quick to move out of the way and head out the door. Almost as soon as she stepped out the door she just broke down. Started crying. This was all too much to keep to herself, but Paige being Paige did so knowing it would become too much. Her bloody nose was just the last straw, but hey at least she wasn't getting sick every morning anymore.

Atlas was quick to start trying to assess the situation, poking at her hand with his nose and seeming concerned. It wasn't like her to just start crying. The Northern Inuit decided he needed someone to help his human, so he stayed with her until he was sure she would most likely stay still. Then he ran off, barking or sniffing around for those he recognized to be someone who could see what was wrong. Nothing truly was wrong, well, she had a major secret she had been dealing with by herself for four months. If anything she was just stressed and emotional. But to Atlas, something was wrong and he wanted to make her okay.

//OKAY so this is v bad but Paige is? somewhere near the casino? probably? Atlas can have gotten your character's attention OR they can just stumble upon Paige also don't worry shes not like hurt or anything it's just like emotions and stress lol

She tensed up when Cat touched her shoulder, not turning to look at them right away but she did. She whiped her nose and eyes, not caring if the blood or tears smeared on her face, at this point she didn't care about any of it. She looked at Cat [b]"Wh-What?" her voice shaky from crying. She cleared her throat and took a deep breath, she knew from personal experience that Cat wasn't good with these types of situations. She knew even if they tried, this wouldn't go too well. "I'm...Nobody hit me" she explained, avoiding eye contact as she spoke. God, this wasn't how she wanted this to go, but she supposed it would have to happen at some point.

— addy didn’t do well with crying. that much should’ve been figured by just knowing the redhead. he didn’t know how to react to others crying, how to react when he himself cried and- fuck no. he really tried to avoid it at all costs necessary. when there was a small scene with paige and cat, though, and paige crying.. he couldn’t help but feel just slightly curious. not concerned. curious. after all, there was her dog, looking worried and concerned. and cat, swearing paige had been hit by someone. guess it was up to him to get down to the bottom of this shit. “the fuck happened to you?” he ended up asking as he neared. the fucking genius at cutting straight to the chase.

When Addy showed up basically asking the same question she took a deep breath. She wasn't going to outright share it, but she may as well say it without...actually saying it. That would work, right? Maybe. Hopefully. For some reason actually saying it made her feel weird, so she really really didn't want to.

Okay, here we go. "It just...started bleeding. But um, it beats getting sick every morning so I don't...really mind." long pause, mostly because Paige was well, Paige. She didn't ask for help and kept everything to herself, including this. So she was a bit anxious on what exactly their reactions will be. It probably went without saying that Cat wasn't good with crying. Doing it themself and comforting people around them that were. No one had ever looked to them for that sort of thing before, and for much of their life crying in front of other people simply wasn't something they could do. Not in The Young Rogues, not in Mourningstar, and not in here, either. People preyed on weakness - they should know, because they were no different.

Not Paige's weakness, though. Maybe it was hypocritical, maybe it wasn't. They didn't really care. "Yeah, that makes it so much better." — addy never knew what to do when someone cried. crying to him was weakness - yet, still, it felt so wrong to tell paige to man the fuck up and grow a pair. so instead, he merely stood there and observed. crossing his arms over his chest as he listened to her story. it just… started bleeding? and managed to beat the morning sickness? it took addy a few moments, and after some silence he eventually said, “shit.”

he glanced over towards catalyst as it seemed like they didn’t get it at all. “how fuckin’ dumb are you?” he muttered, nudging the leader with his elbow. he guessed this had been paige trying to say what was going on - but if it had went over catalyst’s head, addy wasn’t going to be the one to break the news to them. “isn’t it obvious?”

When asked about if it stopped, she nodded. To her it was better than just getting sick every morning. No matter how bad her nose bled. When Addy spoke, well, swore, she just glanced at him and then back to Cat. She had no idea why telling people was so anxiety enducing for her, but it was.

[b]"Well...no, but the reason I'm stressed is what caused the bloody nose I think" she explained, then watched Addy just sort of go at Cat. He clearly realized what she had poorly been relaying to the two of them, but Cat didn't make it obvious they realized what. Though when Addy asked isn't it obvious, her mind, of course, made her think physically it was obvious, like the bump or something. She looked a bit nervous and alarmed at that "It's...obvious?"
