 addy had never lived near the ocean, prior to the badlands. he couldn’t think of any time he’d really felt drawn towards a beach- and who the fuck even wanted to swim in ocean water? he’d never quite saw what drew people in about a damn beach. still, while he’d always said that before the badlands, he still found himself oftentimes gravitating towards the saltwater and sand. what a hypocrite (not that addy ever said he wasn’t one in the first place).
now that summer was coming soon and the temperature was picking up, addy felt like he could finally see the use in the sea. he couldn’t even remember the last time he’d gone swimming, but on that particular day, it felt like it’d be better than anything to go out into the water - better than having to deal with the heat, and everybody that happened to annoy the shit out of him sometimes. standing on the sand, he kicked his shoes off, taking off his shirt with ease. and, without much care in the world, wandered further into the water.
the cool water felt… surprisingly nice, and addy could feel the built up stress coming off of him in waves as he - once he was in deeper waters - dove headfirst, going further from shore.
//yikes this is bad but
y’know just want to get my activity back up
surf's up my dudes
