- their name is... quite literally heretic, most people think they gave it to themselves but no one knows for sure. it'll make more sense later on
- nonbinary, doesn't really give a shit about gender tbh, so they prefer gender neutral pronouns
- invented not giving a shit or loving everyone for who they are, you can decide. they're a Chaotic Bi but they're too gross so no one will date them anyways. sometimes their fans will hook up with them for one night stands to experience "the complete rock n roll experience" but that's the most they get usually

- 24, but can be anywhere from early twenties to late twenties age wise
- in a metal band as the lead singer/rhythm guitarist, their music content isn't too controversial around thrash or black metal fans, but with regular people? christians? it's barely passable
- in most universes they're just an edgy kid in a metal band. the kind of kid you'd see, go "ew, gross" or "ew, hot" depending on your type and you'd go on with your day. my universe however!! isn't like that

- their band focuses around satan, religious themes, and horror, and probably has a decent underground following. i need to think of a name for the band but that'll come along later. for now they're just in an unnamed satanic band, praising satan, getting people to worship satan because that's what they were raised to do
- the cult, surprisingly, isn't too bad. they were loved growing up, not particularly by their mother, but by the other members of the church, and they have known their fellow bandmates since they were all children. this was their "destiny" and they were foretold to do this by satan himself. or, so they were told, anyways

[JUSTIFY]- heretic's personality is almost as confusing and twisting as the lies they tell. they're undoubtedly CHARMING, using their social skills in a way that makes them seem FRIENDLY, but despite this there is always something... OFF-PUTTING about them. it's the type of off-putting that you can pass off as someone just being ODD, but their strangeness runs much deeper and darker than that. despite this, it's hard to say that they are completely horrible, because saying so would be false. they believe what they are doing is for the best. they may be leading people to a satanic cult, some of these people may end up being sacrificed, some may simply die because they cannot handle the ways of the cult, but this is how they were raised to act. they know no better, so in turn, if you truly believe they are evil perhaps you should be talking to those who raised them instead of heretic themselves. after all, even if they wanted to, it's hard to escape a cult alive.
- they do take their job seriously, though. they enjoy being in a band and they're DETERMINED to do anything they can do to the best of their ability. heretic is a HARD-WORKER at heart, oftentimes ignoring their job and suffering because of it. they're RESERVED and were never really taught how to express themselves properly emotionally, because of this they can be rather EMOTIONAL and all over the place when paired with being ANXIOUS. you're more likely to see them have an emotional breakdown than to properly express their feelings. it's due to this that they only have a few select friends.
- because of their lack of a social circle they're CURIOUS when it comes to other people, observing those around them and oftentimes taking an interest in a few select people. this isn't surprising, considering their job is to find suitable people to bring to the cult. however, it's oftentimes for their own enjoyment more than anything else. they're simply a PEOPLE PERSON despite being UNAPPROACHABLE themselves most of the time.
- it's hardly any wonder those who know heretic consider them unapproachable, as they're extremely DISTANT and ALOOF when not on stage. you can often catch them fiddling with their hands nervously, eyes staring blankly ahead as if they're able to see miles away. they're there but they aren't really, not completely, anyways. they're WISE beyond their years and extremely INTELLIGENT but everything with them is still always a half truth. something to be taken with a grain of salt. MYSTERIOUS as always in their ways, you often forget they're tricking you because they always do it with a bright smile on their face. they're extremely SLY and it's in your best bet to not completely trust them, they'll do you no harm ( usually ) but they enjoy a bit of a game here and then.
- they're LOYAL to a select few, so while they may be a TRICKSTER they would do their friends no harm. they're known to be closer with friends, their band mates usually, than they are with anyone else. family, most members of the cult, and their parents are held away at a safe distance. with those they are close with they oftentimes go back to being EXTROVERTED and jovial, forgetting all the mystery they held before. their mood and personality is oftentimes UNPREDICTABLE, it changes almost as much as the weather does and depending on who you ask they're either MOODY or simply playing another one of their games. in truth it's probably a mix of both.
- BRAVE, BOLD, and perhaps more than a bit SELF-SACRIFICING, one of the more surprising parts of their personality is their habit to put themselves in harms way for others. they'd more than willing be ready to die for someone they were close with. this and most of their mannerisms is due to their FEAR OF LONELINESS and solitude. to them an entertained crowd is a crowd willing to stay and watch the rest of the show. at their core, heretic will always be an ENTERTAINER. someone for others to look at, laugh, sing along with, but to never get close to. they were raised to be an entertainer and to keep the crowd excited, they have no idea how to get deep and personal with anyone.
- heretic is an OVER-THINKER to a fault, and something deep within them wants and craves to be closer to others, but they rarely give into these urges. they aren't a good companion and they lack any deeper social skills aside from your basic ones. due to this they're often LONELY and SAD. they refuse to burden others with their problems and the most others ever see out of them are emotional, anxious breakdowns.
- to put it simply, heretic is confusing and unpredictable. they were never taught how to properly express their emotions due to their occupation, so instead they're incredibly emotional and distant to most people around them. they have a fascination and curiosity with everyday people, due to both their job and their lack of social circle, and this is one of the reasons they enjoy being in a band so much. anxious, depressed, and with a fear of being completely and utterly alone, they cope by doing what they know best which is entertaining others. they're intelligent and sly, oftentimes performing little tricks and jokes on the people they know, whether it be other cult members or their band members but they refuse to let others get close to them. in truth, they dislike themselves and would rather suffer than burden others with their problems. this is why they're overly loyal and self-sacrificing to their closest friends. they'd simply rather hurt themselves than to ever be truly alone and disliked.
