whispers as subtle as the wind brushing the sand have finally fallen upon heedful ears. you've heard of them only in passing, as savage thieves who wreck havoc on anything that passes through their territory. only after the sandstorms that ravage the lands that is, which barely anyone but the aridian seem to survive. living in a harsh desert that bears their name, the aridian have learned to become tough and resourceful; warriors and merchants by reputation, they are feared and respected in the countries they inhabit. in a matriarchal society such as this, the role of chief passed from mother to daughter. due to this, the climate is a very radically female/feminine group. the native race of aridian are known to have tan skin, ranging from olive to a light brown, amber hair, and light eyes, complete with a thick accent natives have. they are generally seen as a group who doesn't take well to outsiders, yet appreciates the talent of outsiders if they see it. archery and horseback are highly regarded in the aridian society, and are rumored that they ride faster, and their arrows fly faster, than a bullet. after many in-group conflicts, eventually a little under half of the group left to the caverns/caves across the river, and the others stayed. the ones that left called themselves the scorpi, after inhabiting the scorpion caverns. they are more cunning, and value ideals the aridians had been generally known to be impartial towards.
