the blonde had gone around to every place they knew of in search for books. for them there was nothing more entertaining than a book to read. something that their mother would tell them all the time when they were stuck at home during a storm, which they hated. the storms that is, but that's a story for another day.
their hands were filled with books. a stack reaching almost above their head but thankfully not blocking their sight. they made their way through the hotel's hallways swearing every now and then when a member would block their way. it didn't take long for them to reach their destination. and when they reached it they opened the door and zoomed past the door frame wanting to put down the heavy stack somewhere before it collapsed on them.
having placed down the books somewhere by a corner of the room the blonde skittered towards shelves holding more books than they could hold. theo skimmed through the book's spine looking for a specific book before snapping their fingers and quickly getting it out, not without some struggle of course.
they knew filling up the shelves with books into the way they did was a safety hazard, although they really weren't thinking about it only making it their mission to gather books like a squirrel would with nuts. so when the shelf started to tilt towards them there wasn't much they could do but let the books fall on top of them.
and it was only a matter of minutes for the book club meeting, that they've put flyers out days earlier, to start. that will be the first impression those interested will get off of them and that would just be embarrassing now wouldn't it.
