theo ran a hand through their hair a sigh leaving their mouth before looking around for a beverage that wouldn't leave them in a daze but a nice buzz. though they knew better then to trust that there will be anything of such. that is until they saw the wine. they let out a small thank you to Ometochtli before making their way over to get some wine.

they turned around after getting the glass of wine, letting out a snort when they saw Hóngmín leaning against the wall a bright smile on her face. the blonde knew that it was her idea since the word had indeed traveled out around the other members who either eagerly scurried to the ball room or just shrugged at the news and turned a blind eye.

She was a highly confident person, however, in her confidence came her ability to admit when she felt nervous or anxious over situations without feeling as though she were admitting weakness. While she knew this idea would work, there was still the nagging in the back of her mind about whether people would actually find this to be a productive use of her time when there was already a stacking amount of work that needed to be done on both the city and its inhabitants.

However, sometimes the aura in Los Santos could be suffocating and as much as she adored her home she understood that allowing people to fester in a strictly business environment could have... adverse consequences. Allowing people a night to simply feel safe and free, to allow a connection to form between members with a little liquid courage could help boost morale and bring everyone closer together and, at the end of the night, that's really all that she wanted. Plus, she figured it was a good way for her to make an appearance and for everyone to understand where exactly she stood regarding her relationship with them—she didn't want to be stone cold, unobtainable, she wanted people to be able to approach her. She wanted a relationship with her family because without that relationship she could easily become detached from what her job really was and she did not want that, she didn't want to become someone who controlled an entire group of people without first taking into consideration what they wanted, what they thought and how that decision would ultimately affect them. Alright, so maybe this party was also an excuse for Hóngmín to drink away some of the stress that had been building lately; obviously, she was not one to deal with stress well because she didn't believe in allowing the weight of life to crush her. Despite her best efforts, however, she had started to feel some of that pressure and it was about time that she took action to keep it at bay and to have a little fun, let loose a little... yeah?

She let out a large smile as her heels clicked softly against the floor of the small ball room, it wasn't nearly as large as she wished it was but it would make do; especially seeing as it was the only place in the entire hotel that she trusted to hold at least most of the people that would be filtering in through the night. However, what the room lacked in size Hóngmín made sure that the amount of wine (and general alcoholic beverages in general) greatly made up for it. Safe? Probably not. Safety wasn't her main concern tonight—it was, however, still greatly important just... not as much as the fun aspect of the night. She'd spent most of the day setting everything up, keeping nosy onlookers locked out of the hall and just trying to set up everything in a pleasing manner before the sun began to set and the late night party would begin; it wasn't easy to do on her own but she was nothing if not determined.

She swirled the wine in her glass softly, leaning against one of the back walls as brown eyes looked over the early stragglers who were beginning to fill the hall up—all interested in the aspect of intoxication. She kept rapt attention on everyone who poured their glasses, filtered together into small groups and began to converse with one another and she couldn't help as her smile seemed to brighten even more. So far it seemed that things were going exactly as she had planned and, hopefully, it would become more of a success as word traveled around the hotel and the rest of the members came to join in on the fun. In the meantime, she supposed she should stop being a wallflower and join the laughing members as they took a moment to simply appreciate each other.
