Lows of -10°C/14°F and highs of 10°C/50°F throughout the year. The higher into the mountains you go, the colder it becomes; near the top, it's snowy all year round.

(scroll to the bottom for references)

Under Ermal's leadership, Flintlock has moved territories and set up shop in a ski village within a mountain valley. Here, the temperature is similarly cold - if perhaps a little easier to tolerate - but there is more room for the group's members. There are plenty of log cabins and hotels for people to make their homes, as well as a myriad of shops that can be used for a multitude of purposes. Some of them still contain supplies from the village's last residents - and others contain skiing and snowboarding gear, as well as thick clothing to help protect people from the weather.

Up and down the mountains, there are several out-of-commission ski lifts, both chair and cable car; Flintlock is currently working to find a way to manually revive them in order to make travelling easier. There are also several distinguished skiing/snowboarding routes still left behind, which are also being revamped in order to make them safe to traverse.

Further down the mountain, there are several entrances to a network of mines, all of which can still be used. As such, during the warmer months, the mines are typically in use by Flintlock in an attempt to extract what resources they can.

Can listen to input from the Ministers and public of Flintlock, but all decisions ultimately come down to them. Their word is law, and they can change Flintlock as they see fit. In theory, Directors can hold their position until death, inactivity or the decision to step down. In reality, the public may force a Director to step down if they prove unpopular.

BRANCH LEADERS (4[?] maximum) - A group of people, each entrusted with presiding over one of the unspoken branches in FL (health, domestic policy, foreign policy & defence). They all ultimately answer to the Director. | Link to more info on each Branch Leader’s tasks.

NOTE: The reason Flintlock's ranks have been cut down so much is because I want the focus to move from a reward-based roleplaying system to a more story-based one, so that people focus more on developing their characters rather than climbing the ranks.

[align=right][color=transparent]--TRADITIONS & EVENTS
[color=#e0eaf8]SKIING & SNOWBOARDING COMPETITIONS - As Flintlock lives in a ski village, it's only natural that they'd use the equipment there; as such, when the snow is at its best, skiing and snowboarding competitions are held for the entire group. Occasionally, allied groups are also invited to participate! Furthermore, all year round, skiing and snowboarding is taught as a way of life, ensuring that Flintlock's members are well-prepared.

SNOW SCULPTURE-BUILDING COMPETITIONS - Another wintry event, this moves away from athleticism and towards creativity! When snowfall is good, Flintlock members are challenged to build the most impressive snow-sculptures, often adhering towards a certain theme, and are then judged by a selected panel.

SUMMER MINING EVENTS - As the weather becomes warmer, the mines near the ski village become easier to traverse. As they're a treasure-trove for resources, during the milder months, adults are able to explore the mines and look for all manner of interesting resources for Flintlock, as well as uncovering hidden gems. Just try not to get trapped.

(More TBA over time; suggestions always welcome.)

[align=center]FLINTLOCK LODGE
IF ANY GROUP KNOWS hardship, it's Flintlock Lodge. Its people are forged in ice, tempered in cold winter months that anybody else would avoid like the plague, slogging through snow as though the mountains are a paradise. Life for them has never been easy - threatened by natural disasters and hypothermia, frostbite nagging at their heels, they have survived not knowing whether or not the next day will bring stability or starvation. For many, this would spell doom; they'd give up, they'd leave, they'd do whatever it took to make things simpler.

Not Flintlock. Their home is found in the bitter cold, as crazy as that may seem to most, and though their land is frozen, their people are not. Morally steadfast and willing to help, Flintlock carves its name into the icy mountains as a refuge for those who don't want to fight needlessly any longer. It's just a matter of whether those who come are willing to stay. (If they are, it's worth it.)

1. Everyone is to be treated equally, no matter what gender, religion, sexuality, race, or any other differential factors
2. With the exception of extreme cases, outsiders are forbidden from entering the town until they have been disarmed.
3. Fighting, whether verbal or physical, is not permitted without a justifiable reason (which will be assessed by the Director + Ministers in the event of a quarrel).
4. Anyone taking more food than rationed out in times of shortage must work extra to provide the amount of food they took from the Lodge.
5. Attacking other groups without permission from the Director is forbidden.
6. Anyone who seeks shelter or asylum is to be accepted and hospitality is to be shown to all strangers who are not known to be a threat to the Lodge's safety.
