[font=trebuchet ms]The moonlight slipped silently through the cracks in the wall, flooding the ruins' innards with a soft glow.
As her horns knocked against the doorway to the entry room for what had to be the fifth time that day, Seija once again found herself cursing her canine form. While her night vision was still far and away better than a human's would be, so she wasn't completely in the dark (a pun that made her roleplayer slowly get up and walk out of the room in shame), it still couldn't compare to that of a cat's. At the very least, both of her traveling companions were felines, so she wasn't in a blind-leading-the-blind scenario. With a sigh, the creature slowly walked through the entrance, careful not to knock into the sides again.
Stopping in front of the stores of food and herbs that they'd begun to stockpile, she glanced towards the doorway, waiting for the others to catch up. Now that they had some idea of the general layout of the land, it was about time they started talking about what they were going to do for the foreseeable future. The three of them could make do for now, with the relative quietness of the region, but once fur and feathers started flying- as they always did- they would need to be prepared to defend themselves, and others as well. The thought of Pinklemonade and Hydrus (especially Hydrus) being in battle was terrifying, but it was probably a reality she'd have to face sooner or later.
After waiting for the two to arrive, she said softly, "I admit I didn't really plan this out very well, but I think we can make it work. First thing, we all need to stick together for as long as it's just the three of us. I won't have one of us wandering off and getting lost. Understood?" What was next... oh, right. Clearing her throat, she continued, "Second thing, we all need to be trained in basic combat skills, in case we get ambushed or something. In the meantime, we need to look out for anyone who might want to help us. Anyone's welcome, but we have to stay on our guard." Maybe her initial vision of "learning from the past" had been slightly more in-depth and complex, but she might as well start by not making the same mistakes that she had while leading LithiumClan.
"Maybe we should set up a plan for the week or something," she added, twitching an ear. "For example, tomorrow morning could be for hunting, the afternoon could be for combat training, or something like that. Thoughts?"

and anyone else who wants to jump in can, Seija might be startled but they'll be welcomed in too
